During an u/s with my RE they couldn't find my left ovary. I know it's there. I have seen it before (although that was over a year ago). My doctor didn't seem too concerned about it, but I was wondering if anyone else has had the same thing happen before. Last Spring when I had an u/s it took awhile to find it, but they eventually did. I'm just wondering how this will affect us because we are going to do an IUI next cycle.

My right one still likes to hide. Annoying as hell when they had to dig for it to measure follies.
Not as concerning as the time it took 3 of them to find my uterus. The head nurse was all "You were here 3 days ago. It was right there. Did you take it out over the weekend?".

My right tube was removed so my right ovary is always roaming all around. Sometimes it shows up, sometimes it doesn't lol. They'll find yours when they need to, it can't go too far
I had this same issue with the same ovary last week. They eventually found it. But yeah, it's a teensy bit concerning when they tell you that they can't find it. Like the nurse was awesome, but she was making this face which completely freaked me out LOL

Yep. Every.single.time. Sometimes they are able to get it but others they can't. It's in a weird place. The RE isn't concerned about it. With medicated IUI they tried to find it everytime but when they couldn't they worked off my blood levels and how many were in the other ovary. They were concerned when I did IVF but it ended up not being a problem. They will usually have me press down in that area for them when they hunt for the ovary and that usually works.
Yes, I had an ultrasound on Halloween and the doctor had trouble finding one ovary. I can't actually remember if he ever found it, but I know it's there based on a previous ultrasound and HSG!
