Met with the RE today and it went really well. Everyone in the office was really nice, attentive, and thorough. Mainly we talked (in detail) about our history and also about what to expect moving forward in general terms (will talk specifics once all our test results come in, but basically we are on the same page about going to IUI)
We're going to redo all of my bloodwork but also test several other things which, IMO, should have been done before so I am really happy about this. DH is also redoing his SA. I'm having the films sent from my HSG so I shouldn't have to redo that unless she wants to (she wasn't too thrilled with the report which my previous doctor gave the all clear to, so we'll see). We're also doing genetic testing which was offered to us during/after the pregnancy but with everything going on then, we didn't want to go through that in the moment. It makes sense to do it now though.
I just missed being able to do the bloodwork this cycle so it will be about 3.5 weeks before I can do it, then another few weeks for all the results to come in, then we'll meet with her again and start moving on a plan. This works pretty well for us since we felt waiting until the new year to do treatment was the best option anyway to allow us some time to settle in here.
Overall I left feeling pretty good about the experience and that the quality of care is going to be so much better than before!
Oh, and my records finally came in literally as we were talking to the doctor. The lady there claimed she never received a request, LOL.

Thanks guys, 2015 is the make it or break it year for me. Now that we are settled, have a doctor we trust/believe in, have insurance coverage, we're ready to try IUI and then IVF. If I'm not pregnant by the end of 2015 then I'm done and ready to move on to looking into adoption.
Sounds like it was a great appointment! So glad you found a doctor/office that you really feel you can work with. So happy for all these positive changes for you!!

So much can happen in 12 months! I am thrilled you have a plan, and a doctor who can really give 2015 the best chance possible! You have an entire board of cheerleaders here rooting for you!
Ditto all of this HoneySpider! So incredibly happy for you and your DH! Glad your appointment went well and am holding out so much hope that 2015 is your year! I'm rooting for you big time friend!
Good to hear! You "sound" good about this, too, which makes me happy. Having a plan is a good thing. Wishing you the best in your new city with your new doctor and with new adventures ahead!
