I don't plan on going out to shop on Black Friday, but I am interested in some of the online deals. The last time I went shopping on Black Friday was 2011, and it was really chaotic in the mall! I want to avoid that this year.
I always go on Black Friday, but I never go to like, best buy or or somewhere that has the huge deals on big ticket items. I usually go with my mom and we just go to the mall and get smaller scale items that are still on a really good sale.

I hate crowds and crazy people so no, I don't go, haha. Plus I have to work and don't care enough to take the day off (although this year it's my dad's birthday so it would be nice, but we will just go down there for the weekend). I do some online shopping on Black Friday but that's about it! Same deals, none of the crazy!
I get the day off work automatically. I usually don't plan on going out. Last year I hit up Kohls around 10 am and it was empty, so I spent a few hours looking for new clothes for me. Last year MIL asked me if I'd hit up the JCPenney sale on Thanksgiving night. I think we showed up at 10 pm? It wasn't too bad and we were in and out within an hour to an hour and a half, but I would never deal with the parking and the lines by myself. She hasn't mentioned wanting to go again this year.
No, no, and no. I stick to the online deals from that weekend. Since I'll be with the IL's, my MIL will probably drag us to one of her favorite discount stores. But it's usually not too crazy in there.

My mom and I go, but we go to the outlet stores around 10am to look for deals. Last year we went to Macy's around 2pm and it wasn't too bad. The only places I've gone to really early in the past are small stores like Sears Hardware, Walgreens, or Ace Hardware.
My mom and I used to go before I got married. We always go out at some point during the day but never super early. We don't really need anything this year. We might browse the ads for a good deal on a TV but that's a want not a need! I also love Cyber Monday!
This is the first Thanksgiving in years that BIL and his family are coming, so me, SIL, and MIL may brave the crowds. I don't know, but I'll get together a game plan before we head up there just in case.
I usually do. We usually go to Old Navy, Bed bath and beyond, home depot and Kohl's. Since I work until 1am Thanksgiving this year I will not be shopping. I usually go with my bff and she is kinda upset I am not going this year but I am not going to get home, fight to stay awake then get into a car and drive to the store to get aggravated.
My mom hates crowds but loves black friday. We go out every year even if we aren't sure what we are going for. Then we break at some point to get a donut.
I will probably do more real shopping online. It's fun to have our little tradition. Plus it's just the two of us, no one else is allowed.
Only if I find some good deals on baby stuff. Sometimes I'll go out after noon and find some good deals on things that aren't big ticket items so I may do that too.
Noooooooo, thank you. I don't do crowds. I spend the weekend keeping an eye on Amazon for Black Friday/Cyber Monday Lightning Deals. That's about as far as my Black Friday shopping goes.
awick14 I want Boxing Day here. Isn't that a bank holiday there? That would be awesome, especially this year!
Yes, it is a bank holiday and it comes with holiday pay as well.
I like it because it usually makes it so that DH gets a long weekend/week off work between Christmas and New Years.
Not fair! I'd rather Christmas Eve off but the day after would be amazing too. I could take PTO but I don't want to this year, lol. I wish Black Friday was a holiday too, mostly because it's my dad's birthday this year! Oh well. At least I get random holidays like Columbus Day off, that's nice to have!
