I think we're somewhere between only partner hearing and people downstairs hearing but I said downstairs because this is an old building and the walls are thin. IDK though, maybe we're not as loud as I think we are.
We're usually pretty quiet, so I said that my partner can hear me, but no one else in the house could.
There was one time when we still lived in an apartment, though, when we must have been louder than normal because about halfway through we heard our next door neighbors turn on their TV and crank the volume up. It only happened that one time in the three years we lived there, but I was so embarrassed. Haha.
In college I lived with my BFF. We lived in a two story apartment complex, 5 apartments on each level. She was telling me one weekend when her bf at the time (now H) came down to visit he stepped out onto the patio to smoke. He heard the neighbors 2 apartments down talking about how loud someone was being and whatnot. Then they stepped out and saw BFF's bf standing on the patio, got embarrassed, and went back into there apartment. Apparently BFF is a screamer. Lol. She always kept it under control when I was home!
DH and I aren't very loud. I think this also comes from having a roommate for 5 years. Roommate would turn up his music when DH and I were in the shower though.
This poll topic put a smile on my face . My H is almost silent, but I can be loud sometimes (I think). My house has pretty thin walls so you could probably hear me downstairs if the TV was off.
H is very quiet. Me on the other hand. I am 100% positive that our neighbors have heard us. Along with people walking down to the end of the hallway (We are on the end, thank goodness) to get change for laundry and check the mail. Since we are by both of those! I've tried to be more reserved... It doesn't work haha!
I would say kind of loud, but definitely not a screamer!!
HoneySpider i have also been paranoid about neighbors hearing now that we're in an apartment!! Hopefully the walls are thick enough, we never hear people over there, but maybe they're just really quiet.
