I decided I didn't want to stop to make myself lunch, so I went to Costco and had free samples instead. (I may have done the same thing for dinner last night when they had their member preview.)
Was it super packed? I'm hoping to go this weekend.
Yes and no. There were a lot of people. The parking lot was full, and it was kind of hard to navigate the aisles. I think all the sample stands made it worse though, because there were two samples stations set up at the end of each aisle, so it was hard to get through. There was a massive line for membership signups.
I didn't wait at all to check out, though, or at the door where they check receipts. I expected to have to wait for both. It seemed like people were more into checking out everything and eating free stuff than shopping.
I do think it'll be packed this weekend. I don't plan to go back for awhile til all the chaos dies down.

Dinner wasn't hard. One of the free samples was an entire slice of pizza from the snack bar. Another one of the samples was a hot dog from the snack bar. Half of a sub sandwich, cake, rotisserie chicken, crab cakes, pie, ect. It was like samples on steroids for their grand opening.

Oooh, they are open now? I move in at the end of the month, and I want to do a big run of all the household crap like paper towels and toilet papers asap.

Good to know!
Yep, they opened yesterday.
Are we going to have a "house warming" party where sit classlessly in lawn chairs in your empty house and drink cheap wine straight from the bottle, waiting for the truck to arrive?

I jest.
Kind of.
God, that made me laugh. Actually, the sellers get several days of occupancy after the closing, and my moving truck comes pretty much right after that. So by the time you guys drink beer at my house, it will even be furnished! Thankfully, my work is paying for the move : )

I would totally come to that.
Will you still come if there are chairs? And beer? Or hot chocolate and liquors? (That's my favorite holiday thing.)
