We travel a ton, but I'm tired of packing/unpacking things like my hair dryer, brushes, etc. I'd love to just have a packed bag that I throw clothes and shoes in.
I'm making my Christmas list, so any suggestions would be awesome
I have all my toiletries in travel sizes (which I refill as needed) and keep my toiletry bag packed and stored in the linen closet with my other travel items.
These are my travel hair dryer and flat iron (both are dual voltage):
I have the LL Bean travel organizers, in three sizes, I keep it packed with travel sizes and just move stuff from one size to the other depending on how much stuff I need (depending in length of trip)

I have also created a duplicate bag at this point. I purchased mutiple GoToob / GoTubb containers for shampoo, lotion, etc. I have a duplicate set of makeup brushes, and a couple of travel palettes (a custom eyeshadow one from MAC and a Nars one with blush, bronzer and highlighter). I also take a travel blowdryer and steamer. I keep all these things together so I just have to grab them when packing.
I have full sized dupes of things like combs/brushes, toothbrush, and deodorant, and then I bought a travel set of DevaCurl shampoo, conditioner, and gel I use that I refill as needed. I also have these little zipper pouches that I tuck hair ties and bobby pins in that live with my travel stuff.
I recently found 1 oz mister bottles at the Container Store, which is a lot better for me than a 3oz bottle for things like hairspray or witch hazel (use as a facial toner). I also use a little 3 compartment pill case I got there to tuck small pieces of jewelry into just on a daily basis, so it's a good grab'n'go thing for travel for me.
The biggest thing that helps me pack though, is that I store all my travel toiletries in the bathroom in a small bin I got from Target, and all other travel things (extra bags, gorilla pod, adapters, etc.) in a dresser drawer in our guestroom (which is also near where I store our luggage).

Which makeup brushes do you have? Some of mine have longer handles and are harder to pack. I'd love something that would fit into a smaller makeup bag.
I do think I need to find a good travel palette for blush/bronzer. Those take up so much room. I think I have my packed eyeshadow down to the naked basics and a small sephora one. I don't use much color.

I'm going to designate two bins in the bathroom with travel stuff (extra meds, baggies of hair stuff, duplicates) for both of us. Didn't think to do other things like adapters.

Then I added a couple more full size eye brushes, but you might not need them. I store them separately in a longer cosmetic bag (the bag included is the perfect length) because they're awkward in smaller bags.

My travel drawer is kind of a cluttered mess, but because I only have to look in one place for everything, I know I can find things easily. It also helps me pull out what I need and ignore what I don't. If I'm headed to California for a job interview I don't need power adapters or my gorilla pod, but if I'm taking an international trip then I know to grab them.
Oh, I also have dupes of things like tweezers and nail clippers. I used to buy nail clippers on pretty much every trip I took because I'd forget to bring them. Now that I have them stored in my toiletry bag permanently I don't do that anymore. Depending on the trip, I might have two toiletry bags as well, just for me -- a "wet" bag and a "dry" bag. The "wet" bag is for things I'd use in the bathroom or with water (showering, brushing teeth), and the "dry" bag is for things for my hair/makeup that just need a mirror (brushes, hair stuff). This works best for me for holiday road trips when we are staying with family, and not quite as well for flights when I'm doing carry-on and have to comply with 3-11 rules.

I actually now pack all my cosmetics on me. If the airline loses my H&M dress and Payless shoes, meh. If they lose my UD foundation and MAC brushes? TOTAL DEVASTATION.

lol! I know how you feel. I usually just carry on wherever I go, but the few times that I check my bag, I keep most of my makeup on me. If my luggage gets lost, I can run to any Walmart or Target for back up clothes but makeup? Newp.
I use Dot&Dot travel accessories which are available on Amazon. They have several accessories available. I use their travel bottles which I just refill with my shampoo, conditioner, lotion and body wash. They are squeezable and leak-proof. I also have their hanging toiletry kit which is very roomy. I usually just place all my toiletries in there including the travel bottles. For my straightening iron/curler, I place them in their slim packing cube together with other cords/cables. All my travel essentials are placed in one drawer so I can just grab them there when packing.
