Looks pretty, but I am not a fan of extended christmas. I won't put up the stockings until after thanksgiving. We only have real trees, so I won't get that until December.

Short answer? I dont. Long answer: decorating for the holidays (all of them) is one of DHs favorite things to do. For Christmas he usually does it thanksgiving weekend because we host his department holiday party held the first week of December.
I started on Tuesday. & I will do small amounts here. & there hopefully finishing up on Thanksgiving Weekend.
Right now just a few small things are up. Tomorrow I am either putting up the. " Disney Tree " in the dining room or my grandmothers nativity in the hutch.

Normally we do it the day after Thanksgiving (except outside lights, which are put up in early November due to snow, but they aren't turned on until after Thanksgiving...we used to wait to put them up, but it sucks to try to deal with a foot of snow while you're trying to hang them). This year we're out of town almost all of December, so we've been working on it today and will finish tomorrow so the decorations are up long enough to actually enjoy them.
My birthday is right before Christmas, and I love having everything decorated for Christmas on my birthday!
Usually the weekend after thanksgiving, but this year it's going to be the first weekend of December. We have the biggest house of msniq's siblings, so we turn it into a chance to have the family over, drink cider, mulled wine, etc.
When we're at home for Thanksgiving we decorate the Saturday after. This year we are traveling so we are decorating the weekend before. Respect the turkey is normally my motto but this year the season is short and we're busy every weekend in December.
after december 1, whatever the first sunday in december ends up being, and i take everything down december 26. i would wait longer to decorate but my h really likes it.
we have a fake tree (i am very allergic to real ones) so i could do it longer.

I don't until the weekend after thanksgiving but I'm pretty sure the whole internet decorated today. Seeing all of the pictures of FB and IG is making me so excited!

The weekend after Thanksgiving. DH is all about respecting the bird. Plus we get a real tree so we can't start too early.
This year I ordered a tree to be delivered to the house, I hope it turns out well. Usually the kids and I go pick one out at a lot and drive it home, but I decided my then 9 mo pregnant self would not enjoy that.

Usually we do the weekend after Thanksgiving, but we'll be out of town for Thanksgiving this year so we're thinking of doing it next Sunday, after we have our Friendsgiving... so sort of like after Thanksgiving.
