That are not uggs? What do you wear? Or do you just do a leather boot or bootie? I am thinking of something you would thrown on to drive kids to school in the AM etc.
Do you say 'no Uggs' because they are ugly or because they are spendy? I was against them for so long because I think they are pretty ugly, but they are ridiculously warm and comfortable. I never really wear them as part of an outfit, but I throw them on all the time to run quick errands or to take the kids to school.
(Sorry I just wrote a paragraph on uggs when you specifically said no uggs.)
I wear Uggs or fleece lined Sanuks or Fleece lined Toms or my Sorel's. Mostly Uggs though but I don't tend to wear nicer shoes when we have snow on the ground.
So many retailers have Ugg dupes that I am about to snag a pair of to use for taking the dog on a walk, letting her out, or running a quick errand when it's cold. I don't love how they look per-se but they are warm and work for that purpose. Uggs are way overpriced for what they are. I'm happy getting a kock off pair from Target or ON. lol

Yes I think they are ugly lol. I maybe found some sorels that are slightly less ugly.
I love my uggs. They are great for commuting to work. There is no way I could wear something more rigid (like my Sorels) and drive. They keep my feet nice and warm and I can shovel snow off my car while wearing them.

I have two pairs of TNF Janey Boot. They aren't waterproof, but they are warm and I like the looks better than Uggs. But I'm in the PNW and it doesn't get incredibly cold here.
On my phone so can't link but have boots from target. Almost ugg style but about $30. I know Kohls sells similar ones. I have black and gray pairs. Usually on sale on black froday.
Not sure how casual you are looking to go, but I have these and love them. I live in upstate NY and they keep my feet warm while digging out my car, but I've also gotten many compliments on them. They're my standard errand-running boots: www.dsw.com/shoe/bare+traps+nexie+wedge+boot?prodId=309171&brand=300040&activeCats=women,300040&isBrand=y&categoryName=women
I am not a fan of uggs, but I am going away for a winter trip and wanted warm and waterpoof boots. I bought these uggs that are more like regular boots. I love them. They zip up and I think the details are cute.
