Absolutely i haven't missed a cleaning since college. I had insurance in college, but was too lazy to go see my dentist. I think I went like 6 times in college.

For sure, plus I really have to. My teeth are terrible, so I need to go every 6 mo. I have to go to the gyno every year if I want my BC refilled. The eye doctor I have to go at least every two years, but I also want to maximize my benefit. I get only new glasses or new contacts every year. So I get contacts one year (and wear them longer than I am supposed to ) and get new glasses the next.

IMO this is so stupid. I am legally blind without anything and c'mon seriously glasses or contacts? Anyone who really needs contacts needs both every year.
I only get 1 a year with each insurance, but since I'm double covered I can get both, but it's still stupid when I had single coverage. /rant.

The only coverage I use is to go to the lady doctor once a year. I probably wouldn't do that either, but I keep hoping they will figure out why we are unable to TTC #2. I'm hoping he'll be up in there and be like, "Oh here's the problem. Let me go ahead and take care of that for you."
Dentist no, I've developed a dislike of the dentist... it's the sound of the drills & the whir of the cleaning tools I think. It's like nails on a chalkboard to me. It's been a couple years since I've gone...
Thanks for the reminder/guilt trip that I need to go to the dentist . That one in particular is a no brainer, though maybe for adults once a year is fine?
Our insurance gives us one eye exam every year but I only go every two unless something gets way worse. I'm okay with them not paying much for glasses/contacts; that's a predictable expense and paying for it out of an FSA or itemizing it seems fine to me.
I don't use my annual wellness checkup every year. I've been to a doctor seven times in the ten years since I graduated college. Even if I'm healthy I'll probably go in soon as I have a family history of cholesterol problems so I should get that tested.
I go to the lady doctor once a year for BC refills, the eye doctor once a year for the annual eye exam and contact/glasses refills, and I try to go to the dentist every 6 months, but it's more like 9-12. My H has not been to doctor/eye doctor/dentist in a couple of years. He has great vision, but he has no excuse for missing the other two.

Yes. I work for a doctor's office, so I know how important these visits can be (hello high cholesterol or an abnormal pap smear!). I also want to keep my teeth in my head for a very long time (my grandparents both have full sets of dentures), so dental upkeep is very important to me.
i have family history of gingivitis, and have had "preperiodontal disease", which is basically signs of gingivitis coming, so i see the dentist once every 3 months for a full cleaning, 100% covered.
i don't see the gyno like i should..i only go when i want my bc refilled (not always), and only went this time bc it's been a year since my pap, and it still hurts down there.
eye doc, nope. i've gone once in my life. i have good vision
I just got a PCP this year, I never had one before because my dad is a doc and I harass him for all non girly related things.
OBGYN is ok every 3 years now, but I used to go waaaay more because I too am broken.
Eye Doc I work for! I try to be dilated at least every two years but have an appointment on fri because they found a weird thing last time.
Ah, the dentist... I am working up the courage to make an appointment. I have major anxiety and I think I found one who is good with that. Now I just need to do it, I floss every day though!!
Dentist yes Doctor well, no but I see the damn doctor all the time. Eye Doctor yes
But I am really broken...
(}) This for me, too. I actually haven't had my annual pap because right about when I was due, I had all that pain so was seeing gyno for that instead and with all the doctoring/PT, I somehow missed this and have now just put it off any way.
The dentist we now use covers us 100% for preventative care. Bigger things will cost us a little but since we are double covered on everything it's quite a bit less. I haven't had a copay since I was 19 and was taken off my parents insurance.
