I'm thankful for my kids. They've been sooooo sweet lately. DD has been kissing me on the forehead and telling me she loves me. She let me do her hair this morning. DS hugged me last night to try and reduce my headache.
I'm thankful for the confidence/self-awareness I have. When I got the info from my peers' review of my professionalism, I agreed with their areas to work on and didn't get hurt feelers about it.
My DS. He's funny, he's a big love bug and he's too damn smart for his own good... like last night when told me all about super cell tornadoes, hurricanes, and tsunamis, from books he read (yes, he reads by himself) at the library. He's 3, folks. Yikers.
Bear. He just makes me so darn happy.
This coming weekend... we finally have all of the kids back on the same schedule, so from 7 pm on Friday until 7 pm on Sunday we are kid free for the first time since the beginning of June. OMG. Of course we both have colds and AF is due to show up on Saturday, but at least it'll be quiet for 48 hours. No bitching about dinner, no hearing random teenagerisms every 2 minutes, no whining, no fighting over chores... just glorious peace and quiet.
Thankful for my job that allows me to work from home when needed. It was so nice that on Tuesday, when I had no heat, I could stay home waiting for the repair person without having to worry it would affect work.
Thankful for getting to spend time with my family next week, especially my grandparents.

I'm thankful for Christmas music because I've listened to it on my way home from work for the past two days. It makes me happy and it's cold, so I'm listening!
I'm thankful that next week will be a short work week, even if I don't have Friday off.
I'm also thankful for wine and I plan on having some tonight.
I am thankful next week is Thanksgiving! I've had so much going on I forgot. Yipee for good food and short work weeks.
I'm thankful I get to starfish in the bed on black friday.
I'm thankful I have the opportunity to travel often and leave in under 30 days!
I'm thankful for my awesome neighbors. I told them we weren't moving and they sent the nicest messages about how glad they were that we weren't leaving the block.

I'm thankful for a little peer pressure.
I texted that guy. He said he has to work all weekend, so no plans. But he did keep the conversation going after he declined. I figure if he wasn't interested he wouldn't have kept texting. Right?
