My cousin is coordinating Thanksgiving this year and has assigned me drinks. She said they will have pop and apple cider, so I'm just supposed to bring whatever else.
I am at a loss. Most of my family doesn't really drink alcohol! BF and I will, and my parents will probably have a glass or two (or three), but the rest of my extended family either doesn't drink at all or may have 1 glass of wine. I think we have 12 adults, 3 won't drink at all, 5 might have 1 glass (or maybe nothing), and then BF, my parents, and me.
Any non-alcoholic beverages you'd suggest? I figure I'll bring a couple of bottles of wine, maybe a couple of 6 packs, and MAYBE something like Baileys for an after dinner drink. I don't have much on hand and don't really want to spend a bunch of money on stuff that won't get used, but I also don't want to show up mostly empty handed!
What do you normally drink (other than wine or beer) on Thanksgiving?
By drinks, she must mean alcoholic ones, right? I can't imagine needing anything more than cider, soda, and water in the non-alcoholic realm.
I do not drink anything other than wine and water on holidays.
Honestly, that's what I'd normally assume but knowing she and most of my family doesn't drink much... I don't know? lol.
I really just drink water and wine too (or maybe beer, but IDK if I want something that filling on a big eating holiday!) so I am kind of stumped.
Really, I just don't want to show up with 2 bottles of wine and then proceed to have BF and I be the only ones drinking them, lol. I'll feel like I didn't contribute! I know for a fact that in years past we didn't even polish off 2 bottles of wine.
I think it sounds like you're set. I think between wine, beer, apple cider and soda, the guests should have plenty of options.
Will there be any kids there? Juice boxes might be a fun treat for them.
Tea and coffee are other options you might want to check with your cousin about.
Good ideas. I'm pretty sure there will be coffee on hand, but maybe I should bring some tea. My cousin has 3 year old twins, that's a good idea to bring something for them
My family drinks beer and white wine. If we do Friendsgiving I want to get some good champagne.
If you want to bring non-alcoholic stuff I'd get soda, apple cider, and maybe some sparkling cider. You could look for glass bottles of specialty sodas if you don't want to just bring a 2L Pepsi.

I'll be drinking loads of wine. It sounds like she assigned drinks to you since you drink alcohol, and she probably figured you would know what to buy. I'd get wine, beer, and call it a day.
Maybe she wants you to bring the wine because she knows you drink it and she's uncomfortable picking out wine as a nondrinker?
My parents didn't used to drink at all (now they do, but only when i bring it, lol.) I always bring the wine after one Tgiving where they asked my brother to pick up the wine and he legit brought Sutter Home White Zin and some weird Boones-farmy type of stuff. LOL.
While I agree with the others that it doesn't sound like something non-alcoholic is needed, one option might be a couple bottles of those fancy sodas from Trader Joes. Sparking cranberry or sparkling pomegranate would be festive.
We mostly drink wine. We also drink booze-y coffee and hot chocolate.
If I were assigned drinks, I'd probably make sure there was milk for the littles, I'd bring a bottle of Irish creme for coffee and peppermint schnapps for hot cocoa (and some hot cocoa mix, I've done it in the Crock Pot before if you want to make it for people), and a couple of bottles of wine.
Fireside Winery (Marengo) has an autumn spice wine that's actually really nice, I'm grabbing a bottle of that to take with us this year!
My family drinks all the wine! (and beer and mixed drinks) We also put a bottle of Wild Turkey American Honey in the freezer and "shoot the Turkey" before dinner. It is amazingly smooth especially when cold.

Can I be a part of your family? That sounds awesome.
My family drinks a lot of tea, so that is the only other thing I can think of to recommend. Or if you want to get fancy, what about a non-alcoholic sangria/punch?
We always drink Beaujolais, since it comes out at this time of year and is something most of my family likes. A select few oldsters wll be drinking white zin with an ice cube in it, lol.
