And your kids were okay with it and not freaking out about the taste and I imagine the feel of it. How did he first of all not read and second of all not notice that it just smeared around rather than dissolving?
OMG I don't know what to say. How did he not notice?
The tubes do look similar.
But yes, I don't understand how he didn't notice smell, texture, no foaming.
He's really not great with household and personal details in general so while I am super irritated, I am not actually that surprised. I did keep wondering why the cream tube was getting moved around so much. DS2 didn't have butt rash the last two days but it kept moving. Today the rash appeared - thanks to a few days of Sudocrem as toothpaste - and thus I learned why it was moving. And why DS2 has runny poos

This made me LOL in the office. I can sort of see myself doing that if it was in the bathroom where the toothpaste usually is. But it's not. The butt paste stays with the diapers and the toothpaste stays with the toothbrushes. Thanks for the laugh.
pinotgrig I handed him the tube when he was changing DS2s diaper he said he'd been using that as toothpaste for the kids.
I didn't say anything for a few minutes. We were both in shock. Google tells us the kids should be fine.
The younger one has had the runs but the five year old seems okay poop wise.
I'm actually proud of myself that I kept my cool and didn't flip out on him. Obviously it was a terrible mistake. Also, I'm in early labor (I think) with out third so I'm trying to stay calms. Serenity now.
OMG. LOL, that is something my DH would pull, but my kids would notice right away. Didn't anyone notice it was just getting all gummed up in their mouths? I can't imagine it would react well with water.
