I live near a lot of retirement communities: 90% of the women's cloths at my local Goodwill looks like it was worn by the cast of the Golden Girls. It's great for trying out refashioning projects, but it's totally depressing if you're just trying to find a garment you can wear "as is" though.
Seriously, I actually found this exact same dress at my Goodwill a few months ago and it didn't look "out of place" among everything else on the racks.
</div>She bought the "before" dress (Which is the dress I found), and she chopped it up and sewed the lace back together to make the "after" dress.
Gimme a sec, I might be able to find it, but the original dress was also in an episode of "Wings"
ETA: Cannot find the "Wings" episode, but I swear, it happened.

I think the middle of the first dress is the bottom of the after picture and the sleeves were repurposed for the top
