I'm 41wk today, and my OB scheduled an induction for Monday evening if I don't have the baby over the weekend. I'm 38 and FTM, 1-2 cm with the baby still high. Oh, and so, so OVER being pregnant.
The nurse said to "eat a light dinner" - any recommendations? I am starving All.The.Time so I am more worried about not eating than I am the damn induction/birth.
Not going to lie, I'd be showing up as full as I could be without risking feeling sick, lol. And I'd try to make sure I ate plenty of protein and fiber (as opposed to simple carbs) in the hopes I'd delay the ravenous hunger. This could be terrible advice though, as I've yet to go through labor myself. No matter what, good luck!
Yeah don't eat light- eat something with lots of protein and maybe carbs as if you are running a marathon. I had a huge omelette, potatoes, toast and juice. I was glad for it bc my induction took like 35 hours and that is a long time to just have clear liquids. Ask if you can bring Popsicles- I enjoyed them so much!
But hopefully baby will come out on its own before you have to go the induction route!
