I have no idea. Probably around $75- 100, but we also have insane families and he's the only grandchild. However, he's 2.5, so he mostly wants cheaper stuff-- hot wheels, Thomas the Train, dinosaurs, so it'll probably increase as he ages.

A lot. We don't have any family aside from MIL, and she donates to his college fund in lieu of gifts. Any gift he gets comes from us, so we spend a little more to make up for it.
Well, I have three kids and have basically bought three of everything from Toys R Us. So, I guess I've spent close to a year's salary so far! I go beyond overboard for Christmas.
</div>I bought this for my nephew from a kite shop on Fisherman's Wharf. He loved it. He is also in college.
I bought this for my nephew when he was two. He was terrified.
I wish my nephew would have been terrified of it because that would have been hilarious. Unfortunately (fortunately?), I think he just tortured his suitemates during shark week.
I agree that it gets more expensive as they get older. When my first was a baby at Christmas, and we had no other children, sure I got away with $20. But now we have two and the things they ask for are $$$, or at least they all add up. We don't gift much through the year at all, and we don't do birthday parties (aside from small family get togethers with immediate aunt/grandparents), so Christmas is a little crazy - I realize that I am also really making up for my own sparse Christmas mornings I had as a child. Meh. In the end I think it will be close to $500-$600 for the two of them combined. I feel embarrassed by that when seeing others spending only $200.

My dd wants 2 my little ponies. I will get her those and a book. My ds has requested about $1,000 in toys. I will probably spend about $100 on lego sets and a few other toys between Christmas and his December birthday. We have a lot of toys and I buy things throughout the year. I don't worry about being equal because they don't care yet.
at this point, a thousand or two per kid, but it's usually something they have to have for school/filming/travel. I can't wait till they are done with college.
Last year, ds1 got an elemental light kit, 1k, and winter coat and some stylish clothes another 1k (all of which he needed); ds2 got a trip to Costa Rica, 2.5k (which he really wanted). Spending money for both.
Her first Christmas we spent $0 because she was a month old and we needed our money elsewhere (if only we had known about Amazon wishlist, lol). Last year we spent $50, so we'll probably spend around that again.
My plan is to spend $100 on each boy and then one expensive toy to be shared (magnatiles). I cannot for the life of me hardly find anything for my one year old and my two year old has managed to already get two (small) christmas gifts. So, I'm thinking that I will end up making some last minute purchases in a fit of concern that they will be disappointed. As if a 1 year old and 2 year old could honestly be disappointed on Christmas.

Maybe $100. DS is not even 2, so I think he is getting a tunnel and maybe a Little People farm. We are getting some second-hand Thomas wooden trains from a friend too.
