I'm not a fan for a few reasons. The leather underneath the boot itself is going to take a lot of abuse in rain and snow. That could easily wear through depending on what type of climate you live in. Getting it reapaired could be costly.
Also, I try not to buy any designer goods from ebay since is a known place for fakes. Even if it is authentic, Ebay has done so little about fakes in the past that I don't want to foster an environment that fosters them like Ebay. The stock photos on those make me leery that they could be fakes, even if they are in the US. Here's an article out of Harper's Bazaar about fighting fakes:
I really have to wonder if those are legit since they are on multiple sites are there is no mention of cognac. Also, they are so much cheaper everywhere else.
Thanks FCG for the article! Very good to know! I wouldn't buy them from ebay either. That was the first link I found for them so I posted that link. I love Zappos. If I get them they would be from there but I am currently only checking out my options and comparing styles.
I actually don't like them either house. They are okay in "full" form, but I don't like them in "bootie" form at all. Plus everything FCG said about the cons.
I think you are better off going for something more basic like the Corso Como Samuel on sale at Nordies now.
Oh its okay to think whatever you think of them. I am not buying them. I am only discussing the style here for the sake of design I think the concept is pretty clever. It's definitely versatile.
