We live in a condo and have sprinklers. They are super annoying, though, because they are just on a timer. So, the weeks that sometimes go by in our summers where it rains on and off and we have little sun, it just turns all the grassy areas into a swampy mess.
I voted no. We didn't when I was growing up and honestly, with water truly being our greatest non-renewable resource, I just can't get behind having to have a green lawn. I will water our flowers (and especially edibles) but not the grass. The only exception to this is in a few places where we pulled out huge clumps of dandelions and rather than have more seeds just blow there and reestablish, we sprinkle grass seeds and water the new grass until it's healthy.
Not a landscaper, but a yard guy. He just mows, edges the lawn, trims the bushes and weeds. He doesn't seed, fertilize or do anything of that stuff unless we pay him more.
