My husband doesn't agree with me. Would you, in order to avoid at $60-70 babysitter fee, go see a movie by yourself? We would each go different days by ourselves. Our normal sitter (my parents and sister) are out of town for 2 more weeks, and I really want to see the new Hunger Games! We don't have a sitter here, but there is a drop in daycare that would end up being almost $70 once we pay the yearly fee they require to use it.
I would not pay $70 for a sitter so I could go to a movie. I'd probably just go by myself/ with a friend and keep Dh at home.
eta: unless of course you think you will use the drop in service again so the fee isn't a total one time waste.
I don't think we would use it again. My parents watch her monthly so we can go on a date, I don't see us going on dates more than once a month. Maybe is something random came up, but I can't think of anything.
I loooove going to movies by myself! I go all the time. H only wants to see a handful so for those we get a sitter. It's nice to have a little date time.
