So who do we think is going to die next week? It's a mid-season finale, someone has to right? My vote is for someone in the Abraham group. Glen, Rosita, and Tara were just TOO happy heading back to the truck after catching the fish. We all know no one gets to be happy for long on this show.
sporky, my vote is Maggie is its from that group. Pretty sure they're saving Glen to meet his death from the comics either this season or next. Plus Maggie burned that photo Glen had of her last season.
I worry Carol may be the death. I could easily see it being Tyrese or his sister or Noah though.
I don't know what the hell Gabriel is doing that dude is squirrelly. He is not long for this world.
It's possible they leave the midseason with a cliff hanger. It doesn't have to be a death although they have obviously used that tool a number of times. Did someone die mid season 3? Was that Laurie?
So far the people who have died mid-season we pretty much saw it coming. I don't know if they've been setting up anyone for death? Carol or Tyrese the most. Obviously Eugene and Tyrese's sister (I can't remember her name) are in a bad place.
I don't recall them pulling one from left field for the mid-season before, so Tara, Rosita, Maggie and Glen would all be safe for this episode.
I am so torn on this season! I liked the first four episodes a lot, but the past three have been really all over the place. And the hospital story line has either a ton of holes or needs to answer a ton of questions.
There were good moments last night, but seriously SASHA. WHY YOU GOTTA BE SO DUMB. I saw that coming from a mile away.
I did like how Beth is willing to take risks, but covers her ass. It's like she's still in touch with being good, and retaining who she is, but she's not a patsy and isn't stupid about it.
Ok could anything be more unhelpful than a yo-yo in the zombie apocalypse? I was seriously trying to think of something less useful, and came up short. Dumbass. I was thinking that she found some floss or a bar of soap. Now & laters maybe. But no - she's super excited for a yo yo.
eclaires - my husband was yelling at Sasha. She's lucky she didn't get slammed right out the window.
So what do y'all think Gabriel was doing out there? Trying to atone for his sins by offering himself up for the slaughter ... but then changed his mind? Trying to get practical fighting experience?
I liked this episode, a lot. I love when they jump from group to group. I'm really nervous about the ones in the church, especially now that stupid Gabriel has given the zombies a clear way into the church.

Father Gabriel can die anytime. Dumbass.
THIS, ALL OF IT, 100%
I fully believed he saw her reaction from when he said his name was Bob and knew he could take advantage of that. I looked at my husband and said, he's going to push her out the window. Srly you think he's going to be able to recognized someone that's been burned "alive" by a dropped bomb!
At the end, when Eugene woke up, I thought he sounded more like he had turned. Which I suppose would make an interesting storyline with the group and Abraham - if he actually had killed Eugene.

I thought I heard him mumble something like "water" though, which would only happen if he was still alive.
I started liking Tara more this episode. I think Carol will be the one who dies, probably saving Beth somehow. Sasha is an idiot, but they were really stressing in the Talking Dead how Bob #2 could have easily killed her but didn't...maybe setting him up to be a not-so-bad guy? I always look at every new character and judge whether they have potential to be incorporated into the gang.
I think it's weird how Gabriel was really that clueless. Eugene might be useless but at least he's aware of the world, you know? If he and Eugene both live that really drags the group down - a baby and 2 completely incompetent grown men? Not everyone needs to be a warrior, but SOME skills would be helpful.
I do wonder what underlying mission the writers will have next. The governor's dead, Terminus was a bust, Washington is fake, and I'm assuming they'll get Beth soon (they better not drag that out). Then what? Will they still go to Washington?

I saw a preview of next week's episode and it looks like Gabriel heads to the school (where the Terminus group took Bob) and sees Bob's leg. Not sure why he'd want to go to the school, though.

Sorry to bump, but I never get to watch TWD until Monday night.
I read an interview with the actor who plays Gabriel that said that there was some dialogue that was cut that implied that he was going to the school to confirm that the cannibalism really happened. Like he's searching for a reason for the actions of the Grimes gang in his church. The man is seriously sheltered.
I think he needs to find a justification in his mind. While we are looking at him as weak and sheltered in the ZA, he was to be a deeply religious man. He needs to find a way to understand what happened in the church.
toledo - thanks for that explanation. That makes his actions make so much more sense. This supports my position that TWD should be 2 hours long each week. And, anodyne - yes, agreed, I can see that fitting into his character. But I can see him leading some zombies back inside on his way back in. I mean, the hole is hidden well enough that zombies wouldn't just stumble across it on their own ... unless they saw him heading inside.
Can we play: Who should & shouldn't die on Sunday? I will be pissed if Daryl, Rick, Glenn, Maggie, or Michonne die (in no particular order). The rest, I'll have varying degrees of angst, but I don't think I can forgive any of those guys go. I don't want baby Judith to die, but I have to admit that I'll be a lot less stressed out if she's not there anymore. And she kept crying in this episode, when I don't remember that happening as much in previous episodes.
Carol won't die - too popular. Neither will Daryl. Or Rick.
I feel like maybe they won't leave the mid season with a death - its been done too much and they kind of need to come up with something else. That said - I still wonder about Eugene (I did not hear him asking for water - I heard a grunt). Father Gabriel is probably done, but not sure that would matter too much. I feel like there was foreshadowing a few episodes back with Glenn and Maggie and the photo (they burned it or something? I forget), so maybe one of them.
I don't think anyone will die. Bob just died two episodes ago and I don't see the need for it in the development of the story. I think Gabriel will have a close call, and the group headed to the hosptial will have a shoot out, but everyone will survive.
