I like to see all the yummy things people are planning!
We do traditional and try to limit down to the basics since we don't really have any big eaters in our family. I was going to nix mashed potatoes this year but my brother is coming up and that's a must have for him.
Turkey & gravy mashed potatoes yams with brown sugar and butter cornbread stuffing garlic green beans simple mixed green salad with cucumber canned solid cranberry sauce no berries lefse (MIL makes and brings) pumpkin pie (MIL again)
We have a bottle of Beajoulais Nouveau but otherwise, we're thinking we'll toy with pairing hard ciders this year since my brother and best friend (we convinced her she couldn't stay home alone) both aren't wine drinkers but like cider.
I should try for another dessert but we'll see if I have time/energy after all the housecleaning/decluttering I have to do in the next two days.
Turkey gravey mashed potatoes stuffing corn baked yams with marshmallows jello salad jellied cranberries rolls and butter pumpkin pie lemon merangue pie apple pie/apple trifle
My mom is in charge this year, but ours is generally pretty standard, just everything is gluten free cuz my family is a hot mess of food allergies.
I'm bringing stuffing (I actually baked the gf bread for it this year, it's going to rock), gf Mac and cheese, cranberry Apple sauce and a caramel apple pie.
Ours is pretty carb heavy and simple: Brined turkey cornbread stuffing homemade green bean casserole mashed potatoes (for my dad since he doesn't like yams) yams with marshmallows gravy honey yeast rolls canned cranberry sauce pumpkin pie and apple pie
I am going to eventually figure out another vegetable to add in but for now this is it.
