I really like the She and Him christmas album, though not their version of Baby it's Cold Outside.
My "cool" Christmas music mostly comes from Kevin and Bean Christmas albums (local DJs in LA, they used to do a holiday album every year with a mix of rock and funny songs). My favorites from those are OK Go, Father Christmas; No Doubt, Oi to the World (I think those are both covers of Vandals songs); Cartel, Rockin Around the Christmas Tree; Blink 182, I Won't be Home for Christmas. The Killers have done a few Christmas songs too, I think. At least Great Big Sled
I bought the Nashville Christmas album on a whim at Target, it had some good stuff. Connie Britton's songs kind of sucked though. And I got Kelly Clarkson's album last year, I love her but she's a little shouty.
ETA: Father Christmas was originally done by The Kinks

I agree with all of these! My favorite is Christmas Song by Dave Matthews Band, but I'm admittedly a big DMB fan. Miso may not agree

This will sound crazy, but I promise it's not. Hanson has some great holiday songs on their Christmas album. My favorites are "At Christmas" (an original), and they have a medley of O Holy Night, Silent Night and one other that I can't remember. Have to bust the cd out!
Low "It Was Just Like Christmas" Sufjan Stevens "O Come O Come Emmanuel" She & Him "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" Polyphonic Spree "Silver Bells"
