Had my appointment today and my blood pressure was unusually high. Took the initial reading twice and then had another one after the doctor's visit. All readings were high so my doctor sent me to the hospital. We begged to go to our hospital where we would deliver (closer to home) but she was insistent on going to the one closer to her office so that's where we ended up. Three hours of monitoring and of course everything was normal. Such a long and frustrating day (it took us 2 1/2 hours to get home) but so thankful that C is doing great and still cooking a little bit longer! Oh, and apparently I was having contractions every 10 minutes (small ones) but was not feeling anything...cervix is still firm and closed.
Thanks ladies! Yesterday was definitely more scary and real than Saturday's visit. On the way over I knew that if my BP didn't go back to normal we were looking at an induction, which is the last thing I want (trying to have a med free birth...of course, getting C out healthy is most important). I'm very thankful we are both okay and were able to go home. We are getting so close...after two visits to L&D in week 37 I think it's time to really pack our bags (mine is half packed and DH still has to pack his...good news is that C's is packed and ready to go- we just have to put it in the car along with his car seat).
Glad to hear all is well. I had one of those visits around 33 weeks and know how nerve-racking it can be. Thank goodness your BP went down....Only a few more weeks to go so no more stress until then - keep that BP down mama!

Thanks! Yeah, I still cannot figure out why it was high. I've had appointments in the midst of crazy testing at work and it's always been low (my normal BP is 110/70 and yesterday was 140/90). I was a little rushed to get to the appointment (last day of work, ran to Costco real fast, and had to pick up my prescription) but I also had 20 minutes of down time/reading between checking in and the nurse calling me back. When she did the first reading we were talking (which we normally don't do and shouldn't do) and I immediately thought it was weird and just a fluke. With the second reading I was concerned...by the third I knew she was sending us to the hospital. Only 17 more days til EDD...part of me feels like he will come around that time but part of me is starting to wonder if he's going to come earlier (only because of all these trips to L&D). We'll see- he can literally come any day now!
I can't believe you are so close! It was just the other day that you got your BFP! I am so happy for you, I know its been a long journey. Good luck for your final weeks, I pray they incident free.

Thank you! I know, right? Time has really gone fast since our anatomy scan! I cannot believe we are so close to meeting our son!
How are you doing? How's life as a family of four? Miss seeing you around here! Hope all is going well with you!
