We went to Hawaii for 10 days- the big island and Maui! We are hoping/planning to visit 2 more islands on our 10th anniversary in 2016! We splurged and it was amazing! The helicopter over the lava fields and crater is something I'll never forget- it was like an ocean of lava waves

We went to Maui and Kauai for a week each. The highlight of the trip is that I was so thin, lol. It was incredible! The best ever! I'd love to go back but Hawaii is HELLLAAA expensive.
I looooved our Honeymoon!!! We spent 2 weeks in New Zealand and I would kill to go back.
We flew into Auckland, then flew straight from there to Queenstown, then drove straight from there to Te Anau. Stayed one night and the next day started the 4 day Milford Trek to Milford sound. Spent a night in Milford Sound, ee were supposed to go diving there, but the trek exhausted us and all of our clothes were soaked so we skipped it, from there we drove to Queenstown and spent a night there. From there we drove to Glenorchy and went horseback riding where they filmed the Rohan scenes in Lord of the Rings. From there we went to Wanaka for a night of relaxation. Then back in the car to drive to Franz Josef. The next day hiked on the Franz Josef glacier!! It was the coolest thing ever. And then afterward to got to go to the hot pools in town. We spent there night there and then drove up the coast to Arthur's Pass. We got there late so we didn't get to do much there. The next day we drove to Mt. Cook. There was not a cloud in site so we got amazing views and we went out and looked at the southern hemisphere stars at night. From there we drove back to Wanaka and I went sky diving! Then the next day back to Queenstown and flew back to Auckland and spent a day and night there. Then we went and visited SIL in Singapore for a week. It was my favorite trip ever. We got soooo amazingly lucky because we only had ONE day of rain and it fell on a travel day. This is pretty unheard of in NZ south island. It usually rains 3 out of ever 4 days there.
We took six months off and backpacked around the world. We visited Peru, Brazil, South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, India, Nepal, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Singapore, Indonesia, New Zealand, the Cook Islands, Los Angeles, and....drum roll....New Jersey!
It was really amazing. We didn't bring phones or anything connected to the Internet with us, so we had to talk about random things to pass the time. I loved the conversations we'd have about something mildly curious (like why all the women in a certain village only wore blue) because we couldn't just wiki it.
I shamelessly exploit it at work now. "Oh, you're from X country? I went there on my honeymoon!" Cue rapport-building conversation.
Here are a few pics: Top of Huana Pichu (Machu Picchu). It's a several thousand foot fall on both sides of the point I'm standing on.
Riding on the roof of a bus in Nepal. There wasn't a seat available for a few hours, so we hopped up on the rail-less roof for a several hour journey through the Himalayas.
A really cool hike in New Zealand. We went sledding down the volcano using parkas as sleds. Note my husband's hideous mandals. They're made of Yak, so he's convinced they count as mountain wear.
We traveled two days in this canoe across a hippo-filled delta in Botswana. We had just learned that the markets had crashed a week before (09/2008), but we couldn't access email for another two weeks, which caused a bit of panic because S had tentatively accepted a position at Lehman Brothers for our return. Whoops.
We were living in California, so we drove north and spent a week in Portland and Seattle. We drank lots of beer, ate great seafood, went to some dive bars, slept late every day, visited some amazing gardens and museums, wandered around with no agenda... It was amazing!
@tambcat H and I had one of our biggest fights ever the first day of our honeymoon. I had been looking forward to our hike for a year and he wanted to not do it because he had a cold. I almost murdered him.

We went to New Orleans. We got married in February so the weather was great there. The food was amazing. We chose it because it was a place neither of us had been to before...my husband was in the service before I met him, so he had traveled to many, many places and we really wanted our honeymoon to be someplace new for both of us. It was fun. I'd love to go back.
bigapple that's really cool. We used to talk about how living in China was kind of like a 2-year honeymoon. We moved there 8 months after we got married, and the two summers we were there, we backpacked around southeast Asia--from Vietnam to Sinapore the first year and then the next summer traveled to the western province of China and Tibet.
We went to a Sandals in St Lucia. We did snorkeling, a zip line day, a volcano and waterfall tour, and a mud bath. I really miss my before breastfeeding boobs I was much skinnier then too. It was a great trip minus dh's man cold and me being on my period

We went to Victoria, BC and loved it. We hope to go back for our 10th anniversary. The hotel was my favorite part. It was right on the water and had kayaking and the restaurant had the best seafood and local beer and live music and night. We also went whale watching and wine tasting. A couple pics of us and one of the hotel.
We did Disney World and Harry Potter at Islands of Adventure/Universal Studios. DH insisted on writing a lightning bolt with marker on his head (such a nerd!). I can't find any pics from disney now, but we got to ride in the first car of the parade on our last day.
We haven't been yet we initially thought we'd plan for September, but that never happened. Now we are looking to our 1yr anniversary. We are thinking Cozumel, we have different ideas but can't really agree on any of them. He also wants to do 2wks and I can not imagine 2wks away from Silas, I'd be miserable and worrying about him half the time.
We also went to Riviera Maya, MX and stayed at the amazing Excellence Resorts. We had a swim up room which meant we were steps away from the lazy river. We went back the next year for an anniversary trip but went to the Playa Mujeres Excellence location.

Excellence Rivera Maya. All inclusive just outside Cancun. It was awesome. The only downside was it set the bar rather high for AI's for me since then and nothing has compared.

We went to Istanbul I would have been good with a beach vacation and my H wanted to go climb mountains or something so this was a compromise. It was fun to go back more than ten years after moving away.
