I think I want this chair. I've been searching and found the color I want (natural) on craigslist. It's listed for $125 and looks to be in really good condition. It comes with the 3 point removable harness. Is this a good price?
Will DD (2 in January) be able to climb into it and then sit on her own? I'm all about ease and independence. This is the #1 reason why I love our Learning Tower so much. What else do I need to know about the Tripp Trapp? Why else do I neeeeed it??
Oh - I thought of another question. Does anyone know if there has been a model change or anything with the chairs? If I get a chair I want to be able to get the baby accessories for #2 in a few years and don't want to learn that our chair isn't the latest model and therefor I wouldn't be able find the baby accessories for it or something like that.
Okay so doing more research they did change the chair a few years back to meet the requirements of a new safety law. They changed the 3 point harness to a 5 point and added an extra bar.
The one I'm looking at is the "old" version with the 3 point harness. Think that's ok? Will I be able to order the baby seat/pad/tray for this or not because it's not the latest version? Hmmmm Someone mist know!!
We have the Keekaroo which is pretty similar and DD could definitely get herself in before she turned two. As for the harness, ours is only 3 point and hasn't been an issue at all - we started using it right around 6 months with their infant insert.

DS is only 10 months, but it's a great chair! That price is pretty good. I've seen it for $100 our CL but they go so fast I could never get one. I finally find one on clearance at my BBB for a steal.
Looking at mine (5 point) I can't imagine that the baby set would be different for a three point harness.
Holy crap, I know her. And I was introduced to the high chair when I babysat Kendall for her.
It's a great high chair and I really wish we'd gotten one!
She used to be a DC nestie. :-)
LOVE our Tripp Trapp. Ours was an older model bought off of CL and we just had to remove a plastic piece to get it to work with the new baby seat and harness. Even my DH raves about the chair.

rugbywife, to you have BBB? I got mine there in the clearance section were they have marked down returns. It was in a damaged box and do it was only $60 with the coupon!! In the last 6 months I have seen them on clearance 3 times. The price seems to vary - and is usually more like $100 but always a great deal. Obviously hit or miss but maybe you could give them your name and ask them to call you if they get one.
This post just inspired me to check my Craigslist, and someone is trying to sell a baby seat and cushion (so no chair) for $120. Those things are $111 combined online right now. Uhh...good luck with that.

Uhhhh I have no idea. It had a little plastic piece in the hole where the baby seat strapped in that we had to remove. Easy peasy.
