If ever I'm wearing yoga pants in public, its usually to/from working out, or running to the store quick if I'm doing stuff around the house. Thus, I'm usually in sneakers or flip flops (I'll throw on my wellies in the winter/rain). I am usually wearing sports bra and tank or fitted tee. If cold, I'll be wearing a sweatshirt or jacket over.
Same as pp, yoga pants only get worn for working out. If I'm going to yoga it's flip flops or uggs (in winter) and if it's chilly I'll throw on my fleece or a light cardigan.
Ditto pp. I wear all my workout pants with a workout top. If it's chilly, I throw a jacket or my best on over it. Shoes are whatever is closest to me as I'm getting ready: flip flops, sandals, or flats.

I do running shoes for regular gym workouts, Kangaroos or Pumas that slip off for dance classes, or flip flops if the weather's good, but the yoga pants only leave the house for workouts. I typically throw on a Scuba hoodie if it's cold and try to wear longer tops. I wear my WunderUnders with tunics to run around in when I'm not feeling jeans. Most of my tunics are Rachel Pally knits. I'll throw a cute flat sandal on for that look.
flip flops or Tom's in the summer. I don't wear yoga pants out (too cold) in the winter but I will wear sweats every once in a while if I'm running to Target or the grocery store. Then I usually wear Uggs or tennis shoes with them. Not the nicest look but I'm all about comfort and being lazy sometimes.
I usually pair mine with flip flops or sneakers. Flip flops = I'm being lazy and running out to run a quick errand or I'm not feeling well so don't judge. Sneakers = I'm on my way to or from working out.
I always pair the pants with a work out tank or tshirt.
Sneakers or flip flops. When I'm wearing them I'm either: lounging around the house, going to the supermarket, doing something kid related or going to the gym.
