Christmas/Holiday gift ideas? What are you getting folks?

What are you buying for the holidays this year?

I find it impossible to shop for my H and need ideas. He is a techy, a bike rider, and a workaholic.  I have no idea.

What are you getting kids/teenagers in your life?   In-laws?  Parents?  Friends?

I'm determined not to get on this late this year.

I'm knitting more than I probably should for folks this year. Hats, mitts, ornaments & scarves.

My girlfriends are getting jam & chocolates. My sister is getting touch screen gloves. BIL is getting kitchen knives that look like samurai swords. H is getting whichever Assassin's Creed is the last one on PS3.

The kids are getting Ninja Turtle masks. IDK what else.

My H and I just dropped a small fortune on a house concert so we are skipping gifts for each other.

We are getting FIL 6 months of an ebook subscription. MIL is getting 6 months of Hulu Plus.

My family is only doing small gifts, so we are getting everybody one pound of cheese curds.

I'll probably bake cookies for friends but that's about it.

DS is getting Duplos and a new bed set. No idea about anything for anyone else.

I think I'm going to be super uncreative this year and get DH the same thing I got him last year - his favorite beer from Seattle. He's almost out of the stuff I got him last year and I don't want to deal with the mourning.

Absolutely no idea for my parents, ILs or my kid.

H: I bought him a pair of Sperry's he wanted, most likely some clothes, a Best Buy gift card, and I might renew his subscription to his beer club.

MIL: A pasta maker and scarf

Future SIL: A Silpat mat, two Ove Gloves (she loves baking), and Scrabble (she asked for it)

BIL: We framed a picture of him and his dad (who passed away in April)

My mom: She wants an Ulta GC and I might also buy her a necklace or something

My dad: He wants a JCP GC. No idea what else to get him. He's hard to shop for.

These are really the only people I buy for at Christmas. Oh and my dog is getting treats and a new toy!

My parents are getting Apple TV.

My 1yo nieces are getting AG bitty babies.

Jackson is getting skylanders for sure, Legos, minecraft toys he asked for, an inquisitor light saber, some books...

Scarlett is getting kitty surprise, a bunch of AG stuff for her dolls, Legos, a nerf bow and arrow, books.

My husband is getting a gift card to one of the places he buys stuff to build computers because he's going to build a new computer. He's boring.

My cousin is getting a designer handbag to start out her work career (combo graduation and Christmas gift).

Not sure about my in laws, and I still have to buy for my 8yo nephew, my 6yo niece, my 3yo nephew and my 2m old nephew.

I'm getting my tween SD a bottle of one direction perfume, 1D bedding, some nail polish, the Hunger games trilogy and a gift card to a clothing store so we can go shopping together.

My 4 y/o us getting the snow glows Elsa doll, a Frozen tent, a Frozen throw, some books, some kind of kiddie "makeup kit" (because she loves breaking into mine lol) and maybe some clothes for dance class.

Hubby is easy: he wants parts for his truck, new shoes, and ammo for his guns. Lol

I'm getting perfume and makeup and a bottle of apple flavored crown royal. Lol

H and I decide what we are buying. I think this year we are finally buying a bigger TV. We should be getting a Surface as well. Everyone else gets charity donations in their name. None of us need anymore stuff and if we want something we can just buy it ourselves. Well I may by my inlaws First Class tickets on the Acela Express between DC and NYC cause they are expensive as hell.

I thought we were pretty much done, then D came up from his computer room last night saying that Amazon is selling basic Kindles for 50 bucks. He wants to get one for him, one for me, and one for DD (to encourage her reading).  That means cases, as well. So add that to the list.

H: knitted - scarf w/ fingerless mitts to match; good headphones; Ball of Whacks X Ball; Planetary Annihilation (game)

DD:  knitted - fish hat; sweaters and a cape for AG doll; sewing outfits and rain cape for AG doll; Cat for AG doll; Matching DD and AG doll pajamas (sense a theme here?); humungous farm Playmobil set.

DS: knitted - fish hat; blanket for his favorite toy (which is the only thing he asked for!); Nabi Dreamtab; Bruder trucks; pajamas. Etc.

The dog:  Kirkland dog bed from Costco



MIL: knitted cowl and fingerless mitts, maybe hat. Otherwise I dunno. Maybe something for her garden like these.
FIL: knitted watch cap, cowl, fingerless mitts. H has some ideas of what to get him.  
for the two, Ticket to Ride (board game)  (they're going to be here for Christmas, so I want them to have some actual items, if you KWIM)


H's cousin's family (who lives nearby, we spend time with their family):  knitted facecloths and fancy soap; Ticket to Ride (board game); tickets to something local and fun for the kids
