I just spent $100 at kohls online and purchased 16 items for our angel kid. Plus $30 in kohls cash, $5 in rewards and 10% cash on ebates. While eating quiche, drinking coffee and watching Big on tv. Success!
And then I bought a pair of classic short uggs for myself. Oops.
cowboyjoe people have been doing that shit to us all the time! BIL's GF has done it twice where we plan to do something and set a time and then keeps pushing back when she can get here and then is shocked when, at her arrival, she has to wait 30 min or so b/c I'm in the middle of feeding or the baby just went down for a nap. The most annoying part is she'll say "running late, be there in 20 min" and 45 min later still isn't here so I don't know WTF is going on.
I guess MIL didn't want to keep any leftovers so we were sent home with the dessert I made. Thing is, H loves that cake and so I made one for us as well. So now I have almost two cinnamon roll cakes (each made with 3 sticks of butter) taunting me on the counter. I had a great few weeks of weight loss and this is not helping. I would hate to throw that all away! I must find a way to bring it somewhere......
I had the nicest Thanksgiving ever just staying at home. We had a nice, chill day just the four of us- no family drama, no traveling stress, no need to even leave the house at all in the crappy weather. DH didn't have to work at all (he usually spends weekends checking into the office from home and taking conference calls for hours), so we really got quality time in.
After DS went to bed for the night, DH, DD and I played "Battleship." So fun!
I slept from 8:30 until 7 am this morning. No idea why I was so tired. DH and I vacuumed and cleaned the house this morning now we're just sitting here on our laptops while DD watches Mickey. I am out of shampoo so I have to go out today but I'll wait. Other than that we're not doing anything. We (well really me) already spent enough online. Target, Old Navy, Stride Rite, Gymboree, Walmart, Amazon, etc...
I'm officially buying all the things on the tea website. DD needs size 5 clothes and they have German shirts for the boys and I usually skip the boys stuff.
@starry, need anything else? I'm hitting free shipping.
DS slept like crap last night. He's in a pack n play bc we are visiting family and hates it. Up for the day at 5 am. He's also on a hunger strike. He will eat the occasional pouch so I'm letting him eat all of them.
I finally took him in the car so he would nap. 30 minutes and counting. I'm sitting in the nice warm car on gbcn. Started the day off with pie for breakfast. Perfect day!

I'm good thanks. Glad you found good stuff!
Lol it's a combination of pink and purple that I know DD will wear, and enough cute stuff with gray and yellow that will match her SKR Mary Janes too perfectly. And then gesundheit and Munich lion shirts that even DH would pay $12.
I need to go to sherwin williams to get a gallon of paint tinted and probably hit up the grocery store. I think I'll make emerils turkey gumbo for dinner. I've made it in years past and it's pretty good. And a good use of leftover turkey.
Other than that, I need all the kids to leave me alone so I can order all the things. I'm annoyed that the Home Depot breach means I have a new credit card number and it's not saved in any of my normal buying spots. It's slowing my progress!

Late bedtime = baby up crying multiple times throughout the night. Which apparently means that I get to shop on my phone. Ordered stuff for the boys from Children's Place and Carter's at 4am. Also, while H and DS1 slept in, I took the baby to Old Navy and bought stuff for our family. And now that we're home, took advantage of the Target gift card deal.

Yawn. I miss sleep. I should have napped yesterday when we had helpful people over, but I wanted to visit. Today it's just the four of us. Hopefully both DH and I can squeeze in naps today. DS is being so cute about his little sister. Wants to pet her and give her hugs. He's not at all quiet though. Hopefully she learns to just be a sound sleeper.
we were without power tuesday evening into wednesday evening (23 hours). the fixed it temporarily, but need to do a planned outage today from 10-6 to actually fix the problem. so that happens in 3 mintues. yay.
i was planning to head to the mall with R and then hang out with a friend when i was done shopping until the power was back on and the house was warmed up, but my car won't start. soo...
h's work will be without power too, so they are off now. he was planning to stay home and have some time to himself, but now he has to figure out what's wrong with my car and then take R and I somewhere so R doesn't have to stay in a cold house.
awesome day so far.
eta: also, it's snowing. it wasn't supposed to snow today. and the temperature is supposed to drop from 48F to -1F by this evening. cold snap this weekend. there, all my complaining done in one post
I made it until noon before bribing dd1 with tv to get her to clean up all the toys in the house. It's really amazing to watch. She and dd2 are propped in front of something terrible that includes Mickey and all of the Disney Princesses. I think I'm going to go to the grocery store alone during nap. I'm so bored.

I made my family to take our holiday card picture yesterday. Everyone finally got ready, and DD chose that moment to act out. I have a million pics of her refusing to look at the camera. We got ONE decent (not even good, but at least all of us are smiling in the same general direction), which is all I need, but what an effing pain. At least I'd had wine beforehand.
There are already people on FB and Twitter bitching about the damn elf. If you're going to bitch about it, why do it?
DH is going camping tonight. I shall be drinking beer.
I forgot about the Target GC deal until it was too late. Oh well, my original idea was to buy $300 worth and use it for groceries, but with DH's inpatient stay and the truck needing repairs, our bank account couldn't handle it very well right now.
I am wearing the target tunic and ae jeggings at work today. Lol forever.
I wonder how many of us are wearing this outfit on any given day. (I am also wearing it today. lol)
Tunic and Matty M leggings checking in. I was going to try on jeggings at AE today but AJ was being a royal handful so my mom and I scrapped that.
On that note, why did we think it was a good idea to take a wiggly, opinionated 16 month old to the mall on Black Friday? In his big ass jogging stroller no less (the umbrella's in J's car). Holy hell. Said 16 month old is now napping and I am now watching Home Alone, eating the rest of the leftover jello salad from last night, and drinking a big glass of malbec. Before 2pm. Haters to the left.
I'm feel like no matter what I eat or how hard I try I still look like shit. I was a size 6/8 before getting pregnant and a size 16 after giving birth. I gained an un-godly amount of weight. I've worked hard to get down to a size 10 and am less than 10 pounds from my pre-pregnancy weight. Yet every picture I see of myself I think I still look fat. Ugh, it's the worst. Yesterday I thought I looked ok and saw the first picture DH took and was like, "Eh, not great but looking ok"...then a few hours later I see the second picture and I'm like, "Nope. Still fat". I hate it you guys. The second picture is so cute and I won't even post it on IG or Facebook because I'm embarrassed. So I'm having a pity party day now. (and yes, I wore Matty M leggings and THE tunic yesterday!)
It's windy as fuck at the lake today. Dd and my dad are out playing "driver" in his Ford F-150. Dd sits in the drivers seat and my dad sits in the back and plays pretend with her. It's so damn cute!
They are in town to meet DD for the first time. I called my mom this morning to see whereTF they were, and they hadn't even gotten showers yet. It's 9:30 people! You told me 9:30 so I got up at 8 so the baby and I could be presentable for your visit. If that had not been the case we would have slept until 10 because I was up with DD from 1:30-5:30 last night. Now I'm going to have to feed her right as they get here and she's going to be crabby. My mom said that I should just take a nap now and they'd readjust their time. Um, no it doesn't work that way. DD will take a nap when she pleases and right now she is happily playing on her playmat. I can't just make the baby nap on demand. If it were 8 I could soothe her back to sleep after feeding her, but we missed that window.
I only liked because I FEEL your PAIN. Hs parents were just like this when DS was a baby. They didn't get that we were on HIS clock now & not theirs.

I had a little dairy yesterday and poor DS2 was up with gas issues during the night. Cutting out dairy has made a difference - I just got back from the store. Non dairy, non soy is hard! Especially being a vegetarian. I may go Black Friday shopping tonight with the baby and my sister.
Oh and DS1 is so tired, but will not nap. But he's quiet in his crib so he's staying in their as long as possible. I'm exhausted.
