I'm only getting DS something because my 6-yo DD will wonder why Santa forgot her brother. I'm wondering if Christmas-themed jammies or the French language "happy new year" onesie I bought from JCrew will fit the bill or if Santa only leaves toys. Another possibility is a pop-up book that I bought for DD to read to DS.
No. We brought DS home on Christmas and had no gifts. Heck, we didn't buy anything until he was 2 for Christmas. Everyone else was set on buying him gifts, so we let them have at it.

A was about a month old for her first Christmas. We did buy her a few small presents. We were in a hotel and used their tree which had some fake presents under it already. My mom and sister also sent some things.

My mom is being very first time grandmotherly. She bought him a stocking and an ornament... make I'll just let the g parents give him gifts and not worry about it. I gave him life... that should hold till 1st birthday at least

DS was 3 months old his first Christmas--I bought one gift so I could take pictures of him opening something for his book. He got plenty of stuff from everyone else (still does!!).
C will be just over a month old at Christmas. I'm buying him some Sandra Boynton books that I'll wrap, but that's it. I know my parents and ILs and a few other family members will buy him gifts, but like others said, he's too little to know the difference and we don't have any older siblings to worry about, so we aren't doing much.
I got her a "baby's first Christmas" ornament but nothing else, and I'm not even sure I'll bother to wrap the ornament. Seeing as she (a) won't know or care and (b) isn't really capable of opening a present, I don't really see the point. I'm sure some family members will get her things though.

My kids got an ornament (they get one every year from me) and stuff like board books, sippy cups, bottles and nipples, pacifiers, and other little necessities their first Hanukkah/Christmas. It was all stuff I'd have ended up buying around that time anyway, and this way they could play with the wrap and boxes which at 3-4 months old was all they cared about.

DS2 will be 2 months and is getting things like pacifiers, bottle nipples, teethers, and a paci holder in his stocking. Maybe a play mat from Santa since DS1 is excited about Santa.

This is exactly why A will be getting something from Santa. So L doesn't think he was forgotten.
Between gifts and hand-me-downs, I haven't bought much of anything for DD, ever, so I'm using Christmas as an excuse to buy her unnecessary cute outfits and maybe a toy like a walker or a drum. She'll be almost 7 months by then.
