I was at the pharmacy inside the grocery store, when I looked over and a lady was standing there in a middle of a puddle with her jeans all wet. Poor woman's water broke at the grocery store! I feel like that would've been my worst nightmare, and there were people starting to crowd around her.
I felt so sad for her, but excited she is having a baby today (or tomorrow!).
That happened to my friend. She took it amazingly well. The store called an ambulance and she had to tell them a million times that she'd be OK to go home first, get her stuff, drop off her older son, and THEN go to the hospital.
This was my worst nightmare. I used to work at old navy and always expected this to happen. When I was pregnant I was convinced this would happen to me. Then I was out in bed rest at 32.5 weeks. I was allowed out here and there as long as I was taking it easy while I was out. Went to DHs softball game and then to a small restaurant bar for dinner. Got up to go to the bathroom and ten feet on my way my water broke. Luckily it was pretty empty. I tried to clean up a tiny bit in the bathroom then ran outside. Mortified. I don't think I'll ever go there again.
My water broke while I was at work at a retail store. I was worried about that happening my whole pregnancy. Thankfully I didn't make a puddle and hadn't had any contractions so I could drive myself home.
Mine broke at work, which I like to tell people to see their eyes get wide. Luckily it was more of a trickle than a gush and there was no puddle. I would've had to quit my job otherwise.
