So I just found a 4 oz container of premixed formula empty on the kitchen floor. The culprits are my two idiot small dogs. I am not looking forward to what it does to their stomachs... I don't know which one drank it all or if they decided to share it. I knew they were too quiet.
We woke up, had a nice breakfast, drove 120 miles to our godson's indoor pool birthday party with a Starbucks stop on the way. Did that for 2 hours, packed it up, drove 120 miles home with a stop at the outlets on the way back.
I was supposed to be quick, just a quick stop at Pottery Barn.....
I bought a new queen duvet, two standard shams, two blackout panels for the boys room and a toddler pillow for $150! Plus 10% back with my PB cc and a $20 bounce back coupon. Practically free.
Then, coach. Everything was half off of the reduced prices. I picked out a purse that DH will give me for Christmas, a basic black clutch and then a small wristlet for only $19! I'm going to give the wristlet to my teenage babysitter.
DH was NOT pleased that I took so long but he was watching football on his laptop and the kids were napping in the van. I mean, he at one point, had to get all three out to take them inside so DD could use the potty, so that sucked. But such is my life everyday, amiright?
So far I'm doing a great job of buying myself presents this holiday season.
We are having a hell of a bedtime tonight. I put her down early because she only took one nap today and seemed ready. I guess not lol. 35 minutes of crying and counting. :/
I was quite productive today! I did four loads of laundry, cleaned out my bedroom closet, shopped for gifts for a birthday party, and made dinner and banana nut muffins.
Unfortunately, the day wasn't all good because I fell flat on my butt in the driveway after slipping on ice. I'm super sore now, so I can't imagine what tomorrow will feel like.
C was amazing today. He is learning so much, it's so fun to watch!
We went to disney on ice today and t had a blast. The baby even did good and napped through some of jt. Dh had some type of stomach bug. Got sick yesterday, was feeling better this morn so he came with but during intermission he got to feeling sick again. Hoping no one else gets it chills and nausea and some vomiting, no thanks.
I am watching Madam Secretary on demand…it's good so far. I have a HORRIBLE sore throat (viral laryngitis) and essentially want to die. I am on day 3 of brutal pain (went to the doc yesterday) and all I can do is take some nasal spray to try to reduce the fluid in my sinuses and take zinc lozenges. I want to rip my throat out of my body.

We went over to look at my neighbor's christmas light (like four houses away and across the street) and it turns out the guy works in my building. It was kind of creepy because he was drunk and kept saying "girl I know you" and smirking and DH was like "umm wtf." ANYWAY, I guess he is the security guard for my building. He doesn't look familiar to me at all (which makes me feel bad, but I rarely go down to the first floor to see them). BUT he knew where I sat exactly. So that is kind of odd. I guess he walks around and I never noticed? Anyway, it was still kind of creepy lol.
Just got home from urgent care. DS was just off all morning and so warm while we were out running errands. Took his temp and it was 102! Turns out it's just a virus and easy to manage with Tylenol. We were concerned the ear infection was back, so glad that wasn't the case.
Hopefully tonight is a much smoother night for this little guy.

I am such a science geek. So, I lack either the gene responsible for making asparagus pee or the gene that makes you smell it. I didn't even know asparagus pee was a thing until H told me about it a few years ago. Ever since I found out, I've been dying to know which gene I don't have.
Well, when H finally got home this evening, he picked up DD and immediately said, "OMFG, what did you feed her?? Asparagus?" Yes, I fed her some at lunch. I ran over to smell her diaper and couldn't smell anything other than the usual pee diaper smell. So now I know I lack the gene that makes you smell asparagus pee. I'm irrationally excited over this!
(I could technically also lack the "make asparagus pee" gene, but I have yet to convince H to smell my pee to figure it out )

I am drinking a Shirley Temple (sprite, grenadine, and maraschino cherries), except instead of the typical bright red fake maraschino cherries, they are real ones I made myself with sour cherries and maraschino liquor. They are boozy and really good.
My family picks a person to buy presents for. One of my relatives picked for me, since we were not there for thanksgiving and sent me a text telling me who I got, but I didn't have them in my phone so I am not sure who it was. lol.
I got my brother who is notoriously difficult to buy for. I had a brainstorm tonight and bought him a smart watch. I think he will like it.
Had a delicious birthday dinner and drinks. Felt kind of tipsy after one cocktail. Lots of training to go if I hope to be the next mini-@starry/mini-mini-jenny1980!

DH and I went to a "second Thanksgivings" tonight. A was WAY overstimulated and we wound up leaving before dessert (because we sat for dinner at about 5:15 and they insisted on washing all the dinner plates before eating dinner) because she was MELTING DOWN. H wound up playing with the two 2-year-olds most of the time and got very little adult interaction, so he was particularly frustrated and annoyed.
Shameful confession: I am binge reading all of Tori Spelling's memoirs (next up: Courtney Robertson's tell all about being on the Bachelor, lol). Man, she really makes a lot of dumb financial decisions doesn't she?? I'm at the part where she and Dean bought the little farm in Malibu after losing money on their previous house. They're a month in and she already hates it. It's weird to see her writing about not having enough money to expand the house in order to accommodate her three kids and her *live in* nanny. If you're having money troubles, maybe the baby nurse shoud be the first thing to go? Just a thought. Lol
I've read them all. I just finished Courtney's book and devoured it in about 3 days. It's smutty and I loved it.
And mine is sort of TMI but I've been OOT since Tuesday and didn't bring a razor. I almost borrowed my sisters this morning because I was getting bohemian. Anyhow I desperately needed to get fitted for new bras so I am half naked in a dressing room with this woman all up in my hairy pits. So embarrassing! I'm also $150 poorer and have three of the world's largest bras.
We're heading up to the mountains tomorrow and my bff's boyfriend is going to propose!! I've known about it for two months and she's going to die. I'm so happy to be a part of it.
Dd and i played tourist today with my brother's girlfriend and it was so much fun. I had never spent time with her like that and we all had so much fun. I hope they get married someday.
We ripped our bed sheets. We only have the one set.
What in the hell do we DO at night?!?!
This is right up there with swizz's 2 towels. How can you only have ONE set of sheets? What do you do when the one set is dirty? (How it works in my house is I wash them, forget to throw them in the dryer and then scramble to get them dried and the bed made before my early-to-bed husband stumbles upstairs) I have like 5, plus a flannel set for winter.
K is sleeping in her crib and I'm obsessively checking the monitor. I'm convinced the night time crib transition is harder on parents than babies. Gah.

I'm having 6 mom's and about 8 kids under the age of 4 over tomorrow for a playdate. We are going to attempt to make pipe cleaner ornaments with the kids.
I also offered to feed everyone since it's around lunch time. I'm thinking uncrustables for the kids.
I wonder how many of them are going to judge me on the Internet when they get home, lol.
We went to a birthday party today for H's best friend's 2 year old daughter. J spent the whole time clinging to us and having meltdowns when we wouldn't share our beer with him. Then he came home, went to bed, and puked all over 20 minutes later. Just got him back to sleep about 15 minutes ago. Really hoping he's not sick, and that he didn't infect all the other party guests. (There was some sippy cup sharing happening)

What in the hell do we DO at night?!?!
We did this last year when we only had one set. No idea how it happened! We now have two sets and it's so much easier on bedding laundry day so I don't have to rush to get them dried and on the bed!

We just wash and remake the bed immediately after! We had another set but we can't find it anywhere.
ETA: It works for us since I hate folding sheets. They always end up wrinkly.
