DD's butt was looking a little red so as H was putting her into her diaper for the night I handed him some diaper cream to use.
I guess he didn't really understand what it was for because I then hear him go "What the heck is this? I don't think I did this right."
He thought it was like body lotion so he squirted a glob into the palm of one hand and rubbed both hands together before trying to apply it to her bottom. So now his hands are covered with thick, water-resistant paste and he was freaking out.
I was cracking up and showed him how you just need a bit on your fingers to apply. I keep forgetting he's never had to deal with diaper stuff before.
It took him forever and a ton of soap to wash it all off his hands.
But at least he wasn't mistaking it for toothpaste! Who's H did that? I forgot. lol.
Also just realized I now have two of these - sorry, my computer freaked before I finished what I was writing and I thought I lost it so started a new post....strange.

LOL. My DH has been changing diapers since our first was born in 2009, but somehow he still gets freaked out by diaper rash cream! He always manages to get it all over his fingers. I don't even touch the stuff -- I squirt it on her butt, then use the clean diaper to smear it around.
DH never puts on enough. I've told him a million times that Destin only works if you put on a thick layer. But he STILL will only put on a tiny, thin little layer. Then he complains that the Destin doesn't work. "I don't know why you keep buying this, it doesn't work"
My h was using it as lotion for the b. I couldn't figure out why her skin was dry and scaley. I took her to the Dr and when she asked what lotion we were using h pulled out the butt paste. Problem solved!
Before DD was mobile, we used to apply diaper cream with a q-tip so neither of us would have to touch that stuff. I still do this if I am applying the zinc stuff to her and can get her to hold still for 2 seconds.
