We didn't have any TGiving leftovers because MIL made really odd, healthy food for our TGiving meal this year, and I was very sad panda about it I didn't get any mashed potatoes, stuffing, or rolls.
But I did drink LOTS of wine this weekend! Yesterday we went to see Horrible Bosses 2 and it was hysterical (or at least I found it hysterical, but that was after 2 big glasses of wine at dinner). Today we put up outside lights, I addressed our Christmas cards, I did some trip planning, and now I'm listening to Christmas music by the twinkling lights of my Christmas tree, trying to forget about work tomorrow.

We spent Thanksgiving alone. It was nice. Friday BF was working his regular shift so I got to sleep in and watch TV most of the day. Saturday we ran errands and mailed holiday cards.. it was surprisingly quiet when we were out. Saturday night we went to a game night but I wasn't feeling it so I had him bring me home after I downed a bottle of wine. Sunday we picked up around the house a little and did more nothing.

This weekend was non-stop. We had company for 2 nights (2 different people), hosted a game night, went out to lunch, kiddie bday party, gym and church. I almost need a day off from our days off.

Thanksgiving was good on Thursday. Got to take some leftovers to enjoy for the weekend and everyone said they liked the dishes I brought!
Friday I stayed home, watched football, put up the inside decorations, cleaned & did laundry.
Saturday my parents, baby brother and I went to Austin to see my sister's boyfriend propose to her. It was a surprise (to her) and he had asked both of their families and their best friends to be there where the proposal was to take place. Of course she said yes and it was really sweet of him to have us share the experience with them. I like him and it was nice meeting his family who seem really nice. His dad paid for all of us to eat afterwards, so that was even better!
Yesterday we got the outside lights and tree up & decorated. Went grocery shopping and watched the Texans kick some butt. H made a crockpot roast w/ potatoes and veggies which turned out really good.

Overall, it was a great weekend! We had everyone (my parents, my sister, her fiancee, my FIL, and his gf) over for Thanksgiving, and we spent some good time with everyone.
Friday, we dropped the kid of with my mom, then my H and I went to three different local wineries with my sister and her fiancee (a great way to avoid the crowds). We had some good wine, and a great mulled cider at one of the places. Picked the kid back up, and went home and had a quiet evening in.
Saturday we met up with another couple and went to a local brewery, hung out, drank some beer and had a ton of fun.
Sunday involved grocery shopping, laundry, some errands, fixing the outside light socket/getting the outdoor Christmas lights working, then my FIL and his gf came over for (way to effing long) in the afternoon/evening. We watched some football, and hung out. Then the kid and I ended up outside on the deck for about 45 minutes because it was too hot in the house...
I had such a great long weekend. Wednesday we met friends at a local bar and had a great time. Thursday morning we drove to NJ and had an amazing meal with my family. Friday we all went to the art museum at Princeton, then to the Princeton/Michigan State hockey game. Saturday we drove home and then relaxed the rest of the evening. Yesterday we did some raking, then watched football and ate good food all day.

Such a great weekend
Wed- Jay went out with the boys, so I stayed in, took a hot bath, read my book, watched a movie and enjoyed some alone time
Thur - went to jay's cousin's house with his family and had lots of fun. Came home around 8 and just relaxed
Fri - Cooked a big breakfast, showered and did some shopping. Came home and set up the winter wonderland, which is my house, while listening to Xmas music, drinking libations and being silly
Sat - we went to the casino to the cigar bar and met w few people. Stayed for only about 2 hours, then pickled up Chinese on the way home. Except it was like 10:45pm. Got home, had sex, drank a redbull and vodka, popped in a 3D Christmas movie and eventually ate the Chinese at 3am
Sun - Watched football and Jay cooked a chicken roaster with stuffing, potatoes and green beans. NOW we can have leftovers

Congratulations to her! It was nice of him to include the families.
The funny thing (to me, at least) is that she is talking about doing a destination wedding somewhere beachy. Which is great, I've never been to one and I think those might just be the best kind of weddings! However, she's an active church-goer and I had always thought she would want to get married in a church somewhere, but I guess not. And here I was, not an active church-goer (really not at all religious these days as I was when I was younger) and I had my wedding in a church. That church did mean a lot to me sentimentally, and it was my grandma's favorite church (she was still with us for my wedding and she's not now), so I think it had more to do with that than my desire to actually say my vows in a religious setting.
I'm excited to see where she wants to go. However she did hint that maybe next October might be a good time frame and I loathe weddings that are during football season. If she picks the same weekend as the Red River football game, I'm going to really try to convince her to pick the weekend after or before if it's not already set in stone, LOL!

Wed - BILs came in, we went out for dinner. I baked cookies and started drinking. Had an in-depth conversation with a BIL about how much money he will spend on his kids' education alone. Then he proceeded to drunkenly shower me with compliments about how proud he is of me for moving up so quickly at such a young age.
Thur - Took family photos for other BIL's family. Lunch at their house. Hung around for a bit. Went home and chilled. We didn't leave with many leftovers, so we attempted to find somewhere to eat, coming up empty-handed.
Fri - another BIL's gf came and we all had lunch together. They went hunting, I picked up the house. We all went out for Japanese.
Sat - One BIL and family left. H and I assumed the remaining BIL and his gf would stay the night, but they unexpectedly left that afternoon. FREEDOM! H and I then had a Hunger Games marathon.
Sun - got up early to make it to my parents' church (2 hrs away), then hung around after lunch. While I was waiting on laundry last night, I got the tree, lights, and garland up. Decorating is going to be gradual this week.
The funny thing (to me, at least) is that she is talking about doing a destination wedding somewhere beachy.
On Thanksgiving my (single) brother commented how he would love to do a destination wedding, and I also suggested that someone we went to HS with got married on a cruise ship and had a great experience (they all got to board the ship hours earlier than everyone else so they had a "private" ceremony on the ship, then partied for a week!), and my brother doesn't think he'll be able to find a girl that's into it. I told him there's more people out there willing and wanting to do that than he thinks.
That sounds really fun & memorable for everyone, including the guests!
I would love that idea. I've seen some pics from a Riverboat wedding a friend of mine attended, but cruise ship is even better!
