like maybe one hair in my mouth in 15 years. maybe two. ::shrugs::
Seriously? Now I want to know how many balls (pairs) have been in your mouth. If you say more than one, I'm saying that they waxed or shaved and you never knew.
I don't shave my bush. I don't put balls in my mouth. I don't want to be with dudes who have no pubes. The twig and berries should be nestled in a deep bushy forest. LOL
did you start shaving the moment you got pubes? did you feel like a dirty swamp monster until you learned to shave?
I started shaving it all in the 6th grade. I realize this may be highly unusual. I went through puberty very early so there was probably a few years there where I didn't do anything. I don't think I had seen any porn at that point but girls that age notice when you don't shave your legs or when you have hair showing around your bathing suit. I liked it enough to continue, obviously.
So. My armchair psychology is that you have some unresolved body issues going on that results in you thinking pubes are unclean. Especially if you started shaving so young.
I thought my pubic area was self regulating and shit so I leave it alone. It just needs a rinse and a light fluffing and it's all good. As for trapping stuff, idk, it's there supposed to be some kind of healthy environment down there all by itself? I don't need to shave to help. I don't shave my head, not even when I lived in a climate that demanded the use of a hat all the time. I don't shave my toe hairs even though I wear shoes all the time.
i didnt even have boobs or a period in 6th grade, so pubes, thongs, etc were all off my radar.
I had both and was shaving my legs/pits. But not my pubes.
Sent from my EVO
I don't think I attempted to shave my pubes until I was 23 or so. That was the moment I accepted my laziness.
Plus, dude, freshly shaven feels amazing, I can't lie. But not even 8 hours later and my pubic area feels itchy as fuck. It's also feels damp and oddly enough, sweatier. So no.
no matching bra and panties with room enough for hair?
Haha. Again, this may be generational but when I was in middle school, many girls were wearing thongs.
Idk how old you are. But I always thought we were around the same age. So I don't know what you are trying to pull with this generational crap unless you are presently 21.

I can back you on all of this EXCEPT the toe hairs. It's an extension of the leg. A quick swipe over the fuzzies is a must.
I'm 100% certain that no one shaved their pubes in 6th grade. Because in 8th grade everyone was natural.
Gym is traumatizing, yo.
I knew one girl who started her period a lot earlier than everyone else, so she also got pubic hair earlier than everyone else. She didn't know that having hair there was normal, so when it started to appear in the 5th grade, she thought something was wrong with her and used scissors to cut it off, as she didn't yet own a razor. I felt horrible for her the first time she told me that, and I still feel horrible 20-something years later.
Oh, and no daughter of mine will be wearing thongs or removing pubes under my roof. I'm now aware that we must have appropriate trim guidelines and learn that you can have no panty lines in ways that don't equal a ten year old in a thong. Big fuck no.

You don't have to keep them. I'm just saying it doesn't by it's mere presence make your feet stinkier. They do that all by themselves.
Let me find out my 12 year old is having sex. She won't ever leave the house again. Ever.
And yes, I absolutely will tell my daughter that 12 is too young to be shaving off your pubes.
Pinky is 11 btw and the only thing she can shave right now are her arm pits. The.end.
I ain't slut shaming anyone. I just personally think a girl should live in and be comfortable with her mostly unaltered body for a good while before she starts shaving things like her pubes. I cannot for the life of me come up with a good reason why a twelve year old needs to shave her bits. I just can't.

Wow. You won't let your daughters remove their own body hair? Will there be inspections? I can see not buying them thongs but I think its a little squicky to try to have control one way or the other over their body hair. I don't know if this is turning into a slut shaming thing but I did those things for me, not for a guy. I did know 12 yos that were having sex and I don't think their parents could control that either.
rules about removing body hair were normal with my friends. Of course for us it was all about shaving our legs. Genital shaving wasn't on our radar. But I would expect most mothers to have rules about when their daughters can start shaving. And slut shaming? Seriously? You honestly think that is what this is about? Not teaching a girl that her body does not need modification but slut shaming? If I had a 12 yo who thought s/he needed to shave his/her genitals I would feel like I failed at mothering. I would be so upset.
I'd be worried about my child's body image if they felt they had to shave their pubes when it's still just peach fuzz. That's not body shaming, that's actual parenting.
I'd be creeped out to find out an 8th grader removed all pubic hair never mind a little 6th grader. Granted I don't want to know about my students public hair at all to be honest but still .
Heck, the last time this topic came up here, one poster kept saying it's cleaner because of hair trapping sweat and whatnot.
I really don't care what people do with their pubes. I just hate when not removing hair is called dirty.
Yea, that was me. That's what hair does. I really don't care if people keep their bushes because its a personal choice but you can't convince me that having a bush at the end of the day will feel or be cleaner.
Unless you're shaving/waxing your head I'm calling bullshit on this being about being as clean as you can be. A doctor wrote this saying there are reasons we have public hair and it's not to make us dirtier. We have hair protecting many entry points to our bodies. They have a job to do. Now, if your body hair makes you feel dirty-that's fair enough, but that's on you. Don't go around making out like those of us who don't remove our body hair are dirty as a result.

I am not even bothered by someone saying she prefers the FEELING of being bare. It's the word DIRTY that bothers me. You are not dirtier because you have pubic hair.
I don't think that women who don't shave their legs or armpits are dirty. I think they are less aesthetically appealing because I have been socialized that way. But dirty because you have hair? NO.
And that's the whole point of the OP - that there are hygienic reasons not to eliminate pubic hair and that removing it all does not automatically equate with cleanliness.

I don't exactly know what direction I expected this thread to go, but I don't think it was this way.
I can't even remember having pubic hair at 12. I likely did, but the thought of trimming or removing it didn't enter my mind until college. Back in my day as a whippersnapper, leg-shaving was all the middle- and high school rage.
We had swimming class two days a week in 4th, 5th and 6th grade. So yes, in my school the girls who were "lucky" enough to hit puberty by 6th grade did trim because hair escaping the bathing suit area was visible to your entire class. this included me.
But I didn't need to shave anything because I'm not a very hairy lady - just trim a bit so I didn't have any escapees. I used a pair of nail scissors I lifted from my mom's bathroom.
Now I wear an old lady skirted bathing suit and don't bother doing anything more than trimming occasionally because ingrown hairs are the suck.
