Baby #2 will be 7 days old and will be getting a baby's 1st Christmas Ornament, a 2014 mint set that DH buys every year for each kid, xmas PJs (Christmas Eve with DD) and a sleep sheep. DD will without a doubt question why Santa didn't bring the baby presents if there wasn't anything under the tree.
We bought Wee Gallery art cards and a crib/floor mirror. Basically stuff for baby to stare at and focus on. I'm due a few days before Christmas so baby might not even be here by then. It was just an excuse to buy more baby crap
C will be just over a month old at Christmas. We're getting him a couple sets of Sandra Boynton books, but that's it. My parents, ILs, and other family members will buy him presents too, I'm sure.

DS was 1 month old at Christmas last year. We didn't get him anything, but plenty of family members did including a first christmas ornament. I ended up buying a playmat a week or 2 later and was like hey, we'll call this his christmas present if it comes up later.
I would but I love buying Christmas presents. I would get things that you are going to need anyways. Sleepers in a few different sizes, board books, and some stuff for when they start solids.

We bought my daughter a stuffed monster, two books, and a wooden fish. She was about a month old.
edited to add- I felt very strongly that we needed to have presents for her. Her first Christmas morning was in a hotel, and I wanted to start the tradition of celebrating Christmas morning with presents regardless of where we were, because due to parental pressures we will never be at our house for Christmas.

No. DS was born on 12/20 last year (due after Christmas), and he didn't get a thing. I had H go out and get him a Christmas sleeper so that he wasn't totally left out of the festivities.

DS1 was three months and we gave him: -baby's first Christmas ornament -Christmas book -money into his college fund
DS2 will be two months this first and so far I have a baby's first Christmas ornament. I'm not planning on getting him anything else, but if I see something I might get him a little gift so DS1 see DS2 receiving gifts too.
DD was about three months at her first Christmas. We got her some onesies in the next size, bath toys, a few books, and some 6+ months appropriate toys (stacking rings, teethers). I wouldn't have gotten her anything, but my niece and nephew spend Christmas with us and would have questioned it. Plus DH wouldn't have been able to restrain himself.
DD is 9 months and apart from the anywhere chair that I bought her, her presents and stocking are just stuff I got for my showers that I haven't got round to using yet- bath toys, vtech sit and stand, rocking horse.
I'll get her a few pacifiers etc for the stocking and through in a couple of mum mums.
Definitely get a special ornament and maybe some burp clothes and wipes? Lol
