My chatty 2 year old is still chatty now at almost 8. He still asks a million questions about everything. I'm used to it now so it doesn't bother me as much but sometimes I just want him to sit quietly next to me.

Yes. There have been so many days I have spent with my dd1, now 5, when she would literally talk until she fell asleep. Dd2 is the same way.

In our case it's his personality. He didn't start talking until he was 2 and has not stopped since.

I have a life narrator. It's been pretty much constant since he could talk. Now it's to a point that if I don't hear him talking I think something is wrong and solicit a response, thus starting the stream again. The worst part is that he expects validation at certain points so I have to at least half listen.

Yeah, sorry. DS1 has been talking nonstop for over 4 years. Thankfully DD is the strong and silent type.

There are seriously days that I wish I could be in an isolation tank. The talking does not stop. I actually posted to FB last week asking if it was bad parenting to tell your almost 2.5yo that they talk too much.
