A little more background. We use an organic formula without DHA because she seemed to be sensitive to it. So switching formulas isn't really an option (though it may be possible she's outgrown it). On a good day I can pump 4-5 oz in two pumping sessions. Adding a third doesn't change that total. She has never taken BM only bottles. We've always had to mix it in with formula or cereal to get her to eat it. And she's on the smaller side already, so I'm def concerned about her losing weight. Any thoughts?
Our pediatrician told us we were fine to switch to WCM at 9 months. We started the transition at 10 months, swapping one bottle per day and then every 2 weeks we would swap an additional bottle.
Haven't Canadian pediatricians started encouraging introducing WCM at 9 months? I think I read that here.
In any case, I also had a bottle refuser so I can commiserate. Luckily I had plenty of milk and was able to come home at lunch to nurse, but I was almost in your position. I began introducing WCM in a straw cup at 11 months because I needed a break. She did take to WCM much better than expressed BM or formula.
The "official" line is that you can intro milk at 9 months, but it's not meant to be a major nutrition source. I gave DD WCM during the day starting at 10.5 months.
Definitely try a straw cup rather than a bottle/sippy, and try spoon feeding formula mixed with stuff (cereal, purees).

Yes! I did this too! I mixed formula into oatmeal for a while, and I made it super liquidy. I was trying to get him used to the flavour.
@tokenhoser
This is what I've been doing with BM since she won't take it from a bottle and she's inconsistent about finishing even a 4 oz bottle of mixed BM/formula. She's now no longer eating cereal/purees. She only wants the food the rest of us are eating
