Everything? He's in a pretty terrible mood today. Highlights have included: - That we did not have pizza for lunch (or any pizza in the house, at all). - That I made him wear socks to go outside. - That I wouldn't let him color on my SIL's couch with red crayon.
Because we had to throw away his old toothbrushes. He had 6! We let him keep 3, plus a brand new spin brush. I've honestly NEVER seen him so upset about something!
He wanted to know EXACTLY what would happen to them after they were thrown away. MORE sobs. Eventually we agreed that we would put them in a Baggie and take them to his dental appointment next week and let the dentist take care of it.
He's not one to usually cry about "little" things. A good reminder that what we perceive to be a big deal is often VERY different!
Oh @starry, mine cried yesterday because I wouldn't give him M&Ms. I wouldn't let him have any because he doesn't like chocolate. Like, really doesn't like chocolate and will chew on them for a second then spit them out in a frenzy and get upset about the taste of chocolate remaining in his mouth, while I'm standing there with a chewed-up palmful of M&Ms and saliva. I have given him multiple opportunities to try them, each time with the same outcome, most recently on Friday.
But yes, last night he cried again over the fact that I wouldn't give him M&Ms.
because I tried to make him eat dinner because I tried to make him go to bed without cradling his lotion bottle (weirdo) because I only took him outside once in the dark and cold rain (fire trucks were behind our house - staging for Santa to arrive to the annual tree lighting down the street)
Because she wants to read "boom boom" (Chicka Chicka Boom Boom) for the 100th time today and I refused. #meanmom
DD loves this book as well. I'm over it.
Tears today over having to get into the car, then screams over having to get out of the car. More tears over me putting her boots on. More screams when I took her boots off. I can't win today.

Some version of this conversation happens every fucking day.
"Here do you want to read a book together?." "No mommy. Daddy read book." "Hey bud, daddy's at work, but he's coming home for lunch so we'll see him very soon." "NOOOOOO! I want DADDY!!!! Mommy go away!"

DS was crying earlier because I wouldn't let him keep watching his TV show because it was time to go home (we were at the grandparents). Not crying, but then there was whimpering when I told him it was bedtime. He wanted to sleep on the couch
