(Hugs) This gave me chills. I'm so sorry this happened. It doesn't take a lot for babies and little kids to become dehydrated from vomiting and things can go down hill quickly. I hope she is better soon!
And yes to rescue breaths if you have been previously trained-the Red Cross has been moving away from rescue breaths at the lay responder level though.
For anyone who has never taken a CPR class-please do it. They're reasonably cheap and so, so worth it.

That is so terrifying! We had something eerily similar happen a month ago. They never were able to pinpoint what happened, but whatever caused her vomit resulted in her being dehydrated. It was so scary in the ER, she had to have an IV, ekg and chest X-ray.
Praying she is okay and this was just a fluke incident.
