Fuck. It's pretty insane in the neighborhood where this occurred right now - I used to work there.
This is so ridiculous. This was CAUGHT ON VIDEO and the officer was using force that ISN'T ALLOWED AS PER NYPD RULES.
I'm so angry right now. I probably should have expected this in light of Ferguson and in light of where I live being home to a lot of police officers in the NYPD but I just can't with this shit.

I'm out for the day. Seriously, I can't understand the use of "lethal force" not being equated to "excessive" force at all (aka, Michael Brown, Tamir Rice, Eric Garner, etc.) And I'm just sick that we will not be seeing any changes anywhere and instead, each community keeps letting its own police off and yet, thus polarizing the issue more and more.
What is really strange to me is that the same friends/family I have that are stockpiling their guns for when Obama turns the military and police against the general population are also on the side of the police/government/justice system in these cases. I'm not sure how they can reconcile that in their mind.
I just can't! I am just to damm tired! The man used an illegal choke hold and he still got acquitted. There is no freakin' hope, just giving cops more cause to shoot first ask questions later no worries be cause they won't be charged with anything.
until one of these officers is indicted or "made an example of" things wll not change. We can protest all we want, try to educate our friends, write letter after letter, but until PDs get a real good scare they will not change their ways. Until it is proven that taking a life in this manner is legally unacceptable, the police will continue to hide behind fear for their own life.

This is all so frustrating! It really makes me feel hopeless that justice will ever be served when/if this keeps happening in the future. What the fuck is it going to take?!
