If your kiddo is in ABA, what kind of feedback do you get from your therapist or case manager? Does it look similar to an IEP? We are not receiving any kind of data and I'm getting ready to push back. First, I'd like to know what is standard so I don't look like a loon.
I was an aba provider for 3 years and we only did formal feed back, like an IEP, when I worked in a preschool. One BCBA I worked for required bi-monthly conferences with us and the family but I really don't think that's common. We used the ABLLS for treatment plans and reported data in the manner we desired. I always had data regarding my clients' skills, gains, and weakness but it wasn't laid out as nicely as IEPs.
In our out patient program we had weekly update sheets (what skills were being targeted, progress on targeted skills, mastered skills, things to work on at home) We had a meeting every 3 months to discuss progress and how DD was doing, discuss any concerns/tweaks to the goals. We did an initial meeting and created an IEP type plan to focus our plan but most were based on working VB-MAPP At her current ABA based school with ABA pull out/push in we had what they call/run like an IEP meeting to go over her current VB-MAPP score and create her plan for the year, we're meeting for our bi-monthly meeting next week. I get a daily sheet which is a brief over view of her day (behavior report which covers good/bad/ugly, how she did on her current open goals, how she did on her mastered goals as they randomly pull old goals to check for continued competency, how she did in the classroom environment and with those goals which covers how she did sitting and attending any social issues/progress.)

i have meetings with his entire team (ABAx5, OT, PT and ST) once a month or so. nothing formal. as far as i know we're one of the few families that actually has these meetings.
i was a provider. we had monthly meetings with parents, and provided 2 progress reports a year in addition to the yearly iep.
we also sent home daily reports.
i worked in a public preschool setting. i think we provided a ton of information compared to normal probably.
if you want to know about progress or data, i think you should ask.
We have asked, several times, but haven't gotten anything back from the case manager. We love the therapist but she's in a rough position b/c everything has to go through the case manager. I just want to make sure I don't have unrealistic expectations before I escalate.
