This is just sad and kind of confusing. Did he put his hand in his pocket before or after they tumbled inside the apartment? Did he take his hand out of his pocket since the officer told him to keep it in there?

What is the point of mentioning the legally registered firearm?

Sigh. This is completely out of control. I don't know how to fix it. I don't know how we, as a society, make this change. Clearly, the legal system isn't going to handle situations like this properly. Protesting isn't working, as all I keep hearing about the protests from those outside the protests is that "these people protesting probably don't even know why they are protesting. They are there to say they were there" or worse "these people are not there to peacefully protest; they are there to incite violence." Clearly the protests aren't being taken seriously by many.

And I'm getting real damn tired of hearing if you scuffle with the police, you deserve what you get. NO. Resisting arrest does not warrant a death sentence.
