i recently accepted a friend request from a sorority sister - in college she was so funny and free spirited. I'm wondering what the hell happened since all she posts are very conservative tirades. Today was about how she is not a feminist and she will not raise her boys to be doormats to women (LOL). I was all poised to let 'er rip in the comments but found that many of her other friends had beat me to it. Oh and one - totally serious - admonished her for not being a SAHM and making Jesus cry. Awesome.
We are feeling Christmassy tonight. I decided I didn't want to put up 99% of our existing ornaments (all hand me downs and a lot of breakables) so we went out and got new ones. B loves taking them off the tree. None of them are breakable or have hooks so I'm like "have at it." But when he takes one off he immediately asks me to put it back on.
Also I used fancy leave in conditioner I got in a Birchbox in C's hair after bath last night and now I can't stop smelling his head. And it definitely helped tame things, so yay.
We put our Christmas tree up tonight. The toddler, the dog and the cat have all already been admonished for trying to climb it.
DH couldn't find our stockings. He told me, "just order new ones." When I told him the cost of three new PBK stocking he went downstairs and hunted until he found them.
DH did the dishes so long as I went to get froyo. Great deal! DS was a complete mess tonight. I think it's teeth but it's getting very frustrating. He'll likely be up around 11...and 1...and 4...

Cute!
H is taking L to dinner and a movie tonight for daddy daughter date night. So A and I are alone. We are enjoying our quiet night with House of Cards and hard cider.
DD must be having a growth spurt. She has been sleeping 13 hours at night, taking 3 hour naps, and eating like a lumberjack. I swear she looked bigger this morning than she did yesterday...
Daycare had parents night out. The kids wore pjs and they served pizza & showed the Polar Express in the gym. DS loved it and didn't want to leave when we picked him up. He ran around the entire time. DH and I got dinner & drinks.
My aunt bought DS a crazy penguin outfit (because hey, I like penguins). I pretended they were pjs and used them tonight. Woah, those pants are crazy.
*ETA, don't mind the blurry toddler pictures. Kid does not stay still. Ever.
It is early here still, but dh called 30 min ago and said he was going to leave soon. He works one mile away and is not home yet. He always does this and it drives me crazy. Don't get my hopes up man!
We went out to dinner which was nice considering dh has been working insane hours lately. I asked dd if she had fun out to eat on the way home. She said that it was so kind for daddy to come with us and eat with us. It made me smile that she was so polite and cry because she's right this was the first day all wee he has joined for dinner.
We went to a christmas shop next to the restaurant and got some ornaments. Dd found a pickle ornament with haileys name on it that she loved and the owner was nice enough to make a label with t's name on a blank one for her. So now we have two monigramed pickle ornaments on our tree.

DD was kind of violent today while cooking in her play kitchen. She kept putting a Lego Duplo guy in her pot, saying, "Too hot!" and then laughing maniacally. She's going to be a sociopath, isn't she?
I am coming down with a sore throat now. What the hell guys. C and I have both been sick for weeks and it just keeps mutating instead of getting better.
H was laying on the couch reading a book to dd. It was super cute so I snuck up to take a picture. At EXACTLY that moment, dd rolled over and racked H in the balls with her knee. I don't usually like to share family pictures, but this is too good to keep to myself!
I think we are done with footed PJs for awhile. E wasn't happy when we put them on tonight and kept grabbing for her feet. We've just been doing HA PJs with socks.
DH has to work tomorrow morning. I'm on my own for swim lessons. Then we have a birthday party for a girl from daycare. We don't know many parents so it feels sort of like a first date.
