We traveled for Thanksgiving last week. The mattress we were sleeping on was firmer than usual and I sat on a plane for a couple of hours each way. We left on Wednesday and flew home on Sunday. On Friday(ish), the day after Thanksgiving, I started getting an achy feeling on my left side, down my back, and radiating through my rib cage under my left boob. This is still happening intermittently and seems to be worse when I am sitting. There isn't much that relieves the pain aside from H rubbing it. I got a massage this week, hoping that it would help work out any muscle tension, but it didn't help.
I'm sure it's pregnancy related in some way, but I'm not sure if I should be doing something about it other than letting it run its course. Maybe it has to do with my ligaments stretching and what not? This pain has coincided with my belly getting pretty big. I seem to have 'popped' around the same time that the pain started. Does this seem like something I should be concerned about? I didn't think it was a big deal (aside from being really uncomfortable), but my mom was concerned when I told her about it today.
Does it feel like muscle soreness? It's likely round ligament pain from a growing belly, but when pregnant, I always err on the side of caution. If you're concerned, it certainly won't be the craziest question they've ever received!

It's hard to describe. Do you ever get a pain on your left side where you try to breathe and it hurts? It kind of feels like that, but not quite as severe. It's not exactly muscle soreness. More like a cramp, I think. Like when you get a side stitch. But down the length of my back on the left side and radiating toward the front.
I'd also guess most doctors will say "Tylenol and good luck with that".
Tylenol does jackshit for anything.
I love my midwife partly because she will agree with me and laugh if you tell her that, haha. (She came into my 6-week checkup and said, "Holy shit, 6 weeks already?")
I'd guess you've got a rib out and go see a chiro.

I love my chiro, double while pregnant.
I'm seriously considering this. There's one at the wellness center I go to for massages. But that's another thing my mom is all worried about. I've seen chiros before and never had an issue. She wants to fly me home to see the nucca chiro I used to see. She doesn't do the typical bone cracking adjustments.
If I do have a rib out of place, is that something that will fix itself eventually? I may make an appointment anyway. The pain sucks.
I'm sure you'll feel better eventually, whether you do something or not.
My chiro uses the "activator" tool. There is no cracking. I get the impression that if you ask about it, it's not hard to find. Look for a Webster certified one if you want one that definitely knows stuff about pregnancy.
