What kind of shoes/boots under bootcut jeans?

What kind of shoes or boots do you usually wear under bootcut jeans in the fall and winter? Bootie? Tall boot?

Booties, flats, Toms, sneakers (like Pumas), heels. Not tall boots though, cuz on me they show through, which is weird.

Ankle boots, short Uggs/moccasins, driving mocs, loafers, clogs, sneakers, ballet flats...I prefer to wear socks in the winter so I usually stick to something that covers my foot enough to do so.
