Holy crap, I woke up to 32 notifications. Is this what it's like to be @this?
I think I'd have a panic attack if I had that many.
Five nights in a row of STTN and I'm feeling good. He needs to keep this streak up until June so I can prepare for #2. I just heard him coughing so I should get in the shower but my bed is nice and warm.
DH and I watched The Polar Express last night to counteract the scary movie we saw before it. It was cute.
I'll be solo parenting from tomorrow to Saturday. Don't wanna. :-(
DD is still sleeping so I'm enjoying some coffee and internet time. She woke up once early this morning but decided to play and be adorable for an hour and a half after her bottle. Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde that one, I swear.
H had his dress rehearsal for the reenactment of Washington crossing the Delaware on Christmas Day. It was his first time participating but we've been going on Christmas Day every year for the past 5 years. Last year we both decided to sign up to do it and I said "Well, you know, if things work out, I might not be able to do it with you if we have a baby." Look what happened. lol. Oh how much can change in a year!!! Now we can't wait for DD to get older so we can dress her up and do this dorky stuff. Saw a 3 yer old in colonial garb and it was the cutest thing. Anyway, here is an AW of my cute husband. His nose is so red b/c it was so cold and he was out there for hours!
I'm tired this morning. L was up pretty frequently last night but thankfully not for long periods of time. I'll be off to get me my seemingly daily treat of a Chestnut Prailine Latte, yum!
I'm proud of myself for packing my gym bag. The plan is to do T25 in our group exercise room at lunch. I wanted to track my calories burned but I forgot my Garmin at home.
DH and I stayed up late watching Me, Myself and Irene. How had I never seen that before? Amazing.
DD1 baracaded herself in her room last night. She had her baby stroller propped up on top her poof against the door so that it would crash when we came in. It did. Weirdo.
Guys, I'm feeling bad for feeling this way, but a college classmate has some elaborate story going on on social media. She was known for being a pathological liar in college so the story has me over here like
dd1 just came by to tell me that she had done 2 out of 3 things, eaten breakfast and used the potty and that she still had to get dressed. I offered her a high five and she said that she'd come back for it when she was done putting on clothes. She cracks me up when she's not acting like a little tyrant.

I love it! Maybe I'll go this year. We're staying at a cute B & B Xmas Eve in Bucks County and don't have to be anywhere on Xmas day until about 4. This is the glorious thing about having a baby this year- we're just making our own holiday schedule.
I'm ready for Christmas to be here already. My weekends are packed full of holiday stuff right now and I really just need to get some quality loafing time back.
Also, I have a hair appointment tomorrow. I'm considering cutting bangs again. I'm worried my face is way too round for them.
DS's new normal is waking for the day around 5. I cashed in more birthday magic and handed him off to DH, but couldn't go back to sleep. So I went to the gym at 6am.
Holy crap, the 6am crowd at the gym is seriously fit.

I told my Dad I would go Christmas shopping with him to find stuff for my Mom. I do it every year, but I am not feeling it today. I will suck it up and go but I hope it's not a bunch of "whatever you think I should get her". I have my own presents to buy...ain't nobody got time to figure out what you need to buy people. Grinch party of one. Gonna go turn this attitude around, wish me luck!
Still arguing about which daycare to put h in. We are the worst at communicating.dh failed to mention a pretty big thing that would put him unable to drop h off at all in January if we go with this one location. Should have told me a long time ago dumb ass.
Today already sucks monkey balls. We have CC debt which we both hate. We haven't bought any Christmas gifts yet b/c were waiting for payday. And DH's truck has a flat tire this morning. Goddamit. There goes $100 for a tow, and at least $200 for two new tires. All on the CC. Damnnnnnnniiiittttt.
I'm determine to make today a good day. This weekend was really hard. My mom is coming up at noon to spend some time with DD so I can get a break. I'm so thankful for her.
I'm so tired of all the marriages around me struggling with cheating and divorcing/breaking up. Especially right before the holidays. It breaks my heart-not only for the adults but for the kids, too
I made a very large BR order Thanksgiving weekend and it came Friday. Got around to trying everything on and one dress has to go back and I'm in love with the other dress-but it has a bit of a shimmer to it (which I didn't know about) and I have nowhere to wear it. Guess that's going back too. Oh well. I was hoping to find something to wear on our cruise, but the shimmer dress is going to be too dressy since we don't do the formal nights.
Solo parenting this week and my inlaws are arriving before DH gets home on Friday. Wheeee!
I have a test at the gym in 90 minutes and I'm not supposed to have anything but water leading up to it. So instead of coffee, I just heated up some water because, damn it, I need something warm in this freezing house in the morning. And it's really not all that different. I think this means I need better coffee in the house.
Random facts I learn from The Newsroom: only 3% of the US population is Jewish?!?
This was literally shocking to me. I mean, I know there are more Jewish people around here than in most of the country, but still--only 3%? I would've put it at at least 20%. Shows what I know.
Also, a former classmate's brother had a 1-line part in the show last night (he was Marcia Gay Harden's assistant who walked in on her chat with Emily Mortimer). I didn't recognize him or anything, but I recognized his name in the credits immediately.
DS2 has been waking for the day really fucking early since Thanksgiving. Like he'll wake to eat at 3am and won't go back to sleep. What.The.Fuck.
We need to re-sleep train but our room is under my parents' and they wake up....and then complain all day that they are *so tired* and a lot of passive aggressiveness.
Today, however, is a good day. Two finals and a presentation and I am done for 5 weeks! Longest break since last January! YEAH!
I stayed up way too late reading last night and my H got pissed that the light was still on. God damn Stephen King book-- I have to know how this ends!
I'm trying to decide if I should take DD swimming this morning, go for a long walk/ to the park with her or go to a holiday sing along at our city's rec center.

Love the picture!! I saw a video of the dress rehearsal on Facebook (check out The History Girl). I'm such a dork for this stuff. I'm hoping we can stop by this year.

Seriously, cell phone and instragram filters and I want to print this out and put it around the house. I even zoomed in and the guys on the boat behind him are still pretty clear. Why I spent $$ on a DSLR I don't know.
We started solids and a sippy cup yesterday! I baked a sweet potato, scooped out the insides, and mashed a little of it up with some BM. G looooooved it. He was very get-down-to-business about it which was hilarious.
We also put about an ounce of BM in a sippy cup and he did really well with it.
He was really clean with it, but still a pita to wipe everything down and wash more dishes. I think we're going to try peas or bananas next.
As we get closer to 5, I'm starting to realize maybe it's not going to be the magical age I'd hoped it would be.
For a Christmas gift, I'd love to get out of the house on a good note, with him not getting pissed about some ridiculous thing and in turn pissing me off.
la la la la I can't heeeeaaaaar you.
Yesterday we were running late but dd1 wanted to zip up her own coat - which she doesn't know how to do - and she wouldn't let me help. After failed negotiations I ended up dragging her kicking and screaming and had to buckle her while she tried to repeatedly pinch me and spit in my face. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?
Good morning! I am feeling super productive: got the tree up and decorated, addressed and mailed all of the Xmas cards, and baked a flourless chocolate cake for my mom's birthday (we are hosting my parents for dinner on Wed).
