h is trying my last nerve. He PA-ively criticizes me and it drives me up the fucking wall. This morning it was: not enough syrup on DD's waffle, then too much, then didn't get the bib quick enough, then I put the wipes in the wrong place. Argh. Hoping that venting here will keep me from biting his head off since we are spending the morning with friends.
I'll sheepishly admit to sometimes being your husband in this scenario.
We are going to a playdate this morning with much cuter moms. I'm intimidated.
Me too, but, I try really hard to keep it in my head. I keep DD home w/ me, so we have a system- DH works a lot, and doesn't get to spend much time w/ her, so when he does something differently than I would do it, it annoys me - I have to make a conscious effort to keep my mouth shut.
If you have HuluPlus they have some great kid shows based on story books.
DD loves Witch on the Broom (out of season I know but it is pretty cool) and Snowman and Snowdog. Both really cute. I need to search for more later this winter.

DH is out fishing w/ my Dad & my BIL. DD & I are blasting music, with the windows open. It's gorgeous out. She's going down for a nap soon, and I'm going to put together her alphabet train thing.
I am SO glad she didn't get a million toys yesterday. She got 3 or 4 toys, and a lot of clothes.

LOL @marshmallows and mannah, I make a conscious effort NOT to be like that because of all my time spent here and people saying their H's never do anything because they "always do it wrong anyways". So I think that's why it bugs me so much. That and I can't do anything for dd these days.
This morning we were playing in her room and we got her baby diapered and dressed. Then H went through a baby gate and made his presence known and she immediately tore off all the baby's clothes and said "daddy! No mummy" and made H redo it
I got drunk with girlfriends last night for the first time since I was pg with ds1 3 years ago. IT WAS AWESOME! I had to stop drinking at 8pm (started at 6 and had 3 shots and 2 drinks in 2 hours weeeeee) because I needed to be able to drive home at midnight, and I needed coffee to stay awake until midnight. I only got 3 hours sleep due to missing 2 evening nursing sessions causing my boobs to explode around 4al and ds2 waking up at 5am and not really going back to sleep. BUT IT WAS SO WORTH IT!!!! I need to get out more, I missed my friends!

MIL texted me yesterday to ask if DD had a raggedy ann doll. I wanted to write back, no, because they're creepy, but I didn't.
I tried to tell her that she doesn't know who raggedy ann is and she's really into frozen but that was a waste of time. She's going to do what she wants anyway.
Today we proved, yet again, that no matter how late our kid goes to bed, he's awake between 6:30-7 am anyway. We had a family function last night so he went to bed at 9 pm instead of 7 pm. Still crowing at 7.
I'm side eyeing the shit out of one of the posters answers on the MM quiz about your region post. Anyone else notice?
I had to go back and read, but yes, I am annoyed that someone takes pride in never having been to the midwest except once when forced. WTF is wrong with the midwest? I grew up there and liked it.
Victory is mine! VA tried telling me I owed them nearly $1200 in back taxes related to my 2010 return because TurboTax did something weird. I manually prepared an amended return and got the letter in the mail yesterday (opened today) that I only owe $14.27 incl. interest. I happily accept.

MIL got DD a soccer ball & a basketball for her bday. Shes turning 1 ^o)
I don't even know why MIL bothers asking what to get DD. She got her a semi-truck for Christmas last year.. DD was 2 days old. ^o)

We are getting ready for church. Then we are picking up food at Costco.
We are having a few people over to watch football this afternoon. I have no idea why. It just painful to watch our team continue on its downward spiral. And we are most likely getting crushed today.
We are going to see Santa today. I'm really excited and I normally don't get excited for this kind of thing. Luckily K is still napping at the 1.5 hour mark so she should be in a good mood. We did Xmas photos at home yesterday and they turned out really well. SO has to edit them at work tomorrow and then I can get cards made.
My parents should be here soon. Once they get here were going to go watch some football.
I want to know why H decided to put another coat of stain on our pantry this morning. The kitchen smells like stain. I guess it's a good excuse to get out of the house now.
I am side-eyeing shutterfly. I ordered two of the EXACT SAME thing. A framed photo collage, one for DH's office and one for his grandmother. Exact same collage, I simply ordered two, in the SAME order. One has shipped and will be here by Xmas, the other hasn't shipped. WTF?!

Currently sitting next to my daughters crib, watching her nap in hopes that she won't wake up. Leaving the room means she wakes up. Baby steps, right? I have a cookie party to go to this afternoon! It's the highlight of the holidays for me although I found out that I'm making nearly the same cookie as someone else. Oh well.
I'm cracking up right now sitting in the kitchen eating some lunch and listening to H baby talk with DD upstairs in her room. The monitor is on and I don't think he knows and it's ADORABLE. lol.
