We will be OOT at my parents house for Christmas morning but I wanted to do something different and yummy for breakfast. Preferably something easy because I wont be in my kitchen and hello, there are toys to play with but also something different- no pancakes, French toast, eggs, etc. I'm lost.
I'm doing a french toast casserole and a sausage casserole. Not sure if that's different enough. I just like that I can pop them in the oven and not have to "cook" anything.
My sister is making a frittata to eat with it. You actually could make the frittata the night before and just warm it that morning so it wouldn't interfere with your present opening. Actually, any kind of breakfast casserole/baked french toast could be assembled the night before so you just have to throw it in the oven or warm in it the microwave that morning.
We always do breakfast taco bar. Chop all the toppings and cook chorizo the night before, then just warm the tortillas and scramble a bunch of eggs the morning of. Super easy.

I do an egg casserole that is premade and just bakes in the morning and monkey bread that rises overnight and also just bakes in the morning. Usually fruit salad to round it out.

We usually do fruit and chocolate fondue, with muffins or bagels or something. Liquid chocolate is maybe not the best choice for little ones....but fresh fruit and some kind of make-ahead or store-bought pastry should be pretty easy.
I usually do an egg/sausage casserole and my MIL brings her traditional nutbread and whipped cream cheese. I prep the casserole overnight and pop it in the oven when we wake up. It's ready by the time we're done opening gifts.
We are making cinnamon roll pancakes at our house on Christmas eve. At my mom's for Christmas we always have a make ahead breakfast casserole. It is so good. It's basically a huge ham and cheese sandwich in a pan then you make a mixture with eggs, milk, and spices then pour over the 'sandwich' and bake.
I make monkey bread, fruit salad, and some bacon to much on while everyone opens presents. After presents we do Ziplock omeletes. I chop up all a bunch of veggies, brown some sausage, and get shredded cheese ready the night before. Then in the morning everyone cracks three eggs into their freezer bag, adds whatever they want to it, sprinkle a little salt, and then mix it all up. Thrown up to six bags in to a large pot of boiling water, and in 12 minutes they are all perfectly cooked. Just cut the bag open and it slides right out. Easy peasy! Be sure to have everyone write their name on their bag with a sharpie. Oh, and get all the air out of the bag before putting it in the water.

We have French toast casserole and a sausage hashbrown casserole. We put them together the night before and then just toss them in the oven Christmas morning.
We also have a big fruit tray and Panera bagels that my father-in-law picks up before Panera closes on Christmas Eve.
Could you link the sausage hashbrown recipe? I made one last year but it wasn't very good. Thanks.
Our tradition is cinnamon rolls (Alton Brown's overnight cinnamon rolls) and an egg/cheese/sausage bake that can mostly be assembled the night before.
We made these cinnamon rolls last year. They're so good. Smitten Kitchen (I think) based a cranberry orange cinnamon roll on this recipe and I think I'm going to make it this year.

We do cinnamon rolls and breakfast casserole The breakfast casserole is really easy - the night before layer ,white bread slices, cheese, and cooked sausge and mushrooms. Pour egg mixture (egg mixture (10 eggs , 1 cup milk, 1 cup 1/2 , slat and pepper, 2 tsp worchester sauce) over it and bake. Bake for 1 hour at 3:50. It's great!
