I usually like the staples - leggings, pjs, tights, shorts, underwear and some of their less flashy shirts. They have adjustable waists on the pants which all my girls need. The girls outfits from our family holiday pictures were from there, but again I veered away from the flash, lol. I've also found some cute stuff for my nephews there.
I like it for PJ's (I think they're thicker than Carter's) and for finding non-character clothes for DS - I've had luck with striped/solid shirts, polos and sweaters for boys.
The jeans are also a good fit for DS.
I've not taken note of any of their girl clothes, though.
I can't do all the animal print and glitter. It looks like a mini-Justice and I'm not okay with that.
I agree it's a lot of animal print and glitter (Even Carter's and Jumping Beans have a lot of that going on) but that doesn't bother me as it's stuff kids are drawn too. I don't like Justice and even some of the Target stuff because it's starting to get really low cut/fitted more like adult clothes and I don't like that at all. I think CP is very obviously kid so the sparkle and cheese doesn't bother me as much.
I got more stuff there when DD1 was little (including PJs, which DD2 now wears), but I haven't bought as much lately because I don't really like glitter and/or goofy sayings on shirts. That seems to be what a lot of their stuff has been the last couple of years.
I think their overall quality is awful. We bought a few pairs of zippered jammies when he was a newborn, and they stretched, washed terribly, faded, and were really thin.
I've walked through once or twice since he's been born, but nothing ever jumps out at me.
We do have a few 1/4 zip fleece pullovers that I bought at the same time as the jammies. They're pretty standard. No complaints.
I will shop there since DS is small and their clothing runs smaller than others. It's just going to daycare anyways.
This is my other thought. It's just going to come back with spaghetti sauce, glue and even more glitter on it, so Whatever. I would not put it on her take her to see Great Aunt Former Catholic Nun Edna at the Golden Oaks Retirement Village" in it but in day to day it makes her happy, it was cheap, it fits her well and that's fine by me!

Ditto those who like their PJs. We've gotten some cute (i.e. nonhideous) ones that weren't too expensive and held up well.
Otherwise, the only things I tend to buy there are pants when they are doing supersales. Like, in the spring I got DD bike shorts (to wear under dresses in the summer), capris, leggings, and jeggings in a couple of different sizes for like $3-5 a pair. She has gotten a LOT of wear out of them, and given that they were basics and given the price I have been happy with them. I've also gotten khakis and fleece pants (in purple and pink, but those are DD's favorite colors) for super cheap also. The fleece pants are currently on heavy rotation.
I also snagged a nice gray thermal shirt from the boy's section. It's actually one of my favorite pieces of DD's clothing -- its thick and warm, and it is cut pretty roomy so she has been able to wear it for 2 winter seasons.

I have walked into there a few times and pretty much walked right back out. It may be better for older kids (7+), but the stuff for the little girls is not my style at all. My BFF swears by the jammies though. I worked at one when I was in college many moons ago and I remember the clothes being more subdued then the glitter/phrase/character explosions I see there now. Maybe I am just getting old and crotchety.
I like the 3 in one coats with the removable fleece liner and the hats and gloves. I have also ordered a few striped sweaters for J from there but anywhere I can get plain stripes or solids for J is fine with me. But I haven't ever bought the girls anything there other than a fleece hat.
Their jeans are great for my tall skinny kid. Especially at $7/pair which is how cheap they are on sale and combined with coupons. The shirts, some of them, aren't horrible once you hit the 2T size. I don't get one with words, but they'll have cute holiday ones for cheap.

No. It used to be different. When my godchild who is now 13 was a baby, I'd be her tons of stuff at CP. It was more along the lines of track suits with maybe one little glitter embellishment, cute jeans and striped sweaters (I bought her a really cute red and white snowflake one there I recall). I remember liking it because at one point it was like Gymboree but for half the money, which was great for my broke just out of college, trying to be a good godmother self. Now it's like the polar opposite.

I like their fleece pj's, jeans, and some basics like striped polos, or solid color shirts. I go cross eyed anytime I accidentally click on the graphic t section.
I think the sizing is a bit inconsistent between different articles of clothing thigh.

I have bought basics (solid shirts and skirts) there for DD in the past. DS has a few sweaters from there. But most of what they sell is not my style.
Oddly enough, I have found really cute CP dresses and shirts for DD at Marshall's -- must have been from past seasons before things got tacky. They look more like Gap style than current CP style.

I don't go out of my way to shop there but we've received some clothing from there as gifts and they were all fine. Not the greatest quality, but not awful either. Nothing we got was anything I wouldn't put on DD (I think most of our CP stuff are PJs).
I like their boy stuff a lot. I buy almost all of DS's stuff there. DD, nope, their girl clothes sizing is awful, it never fits her quite right. I did buy her a coat there for next year though, there coats are awesome. I'm a big fan of Carters for girl stuff.
I think their boy stuff (not necessarily the baby boy stuff, but the stuff for my 4 yo) is pretty cute. Lots of solids and stripes available--things like inexpensive solid or striped tees, polos, preppy looking sweaters, basic khakis, etc.
