I wear trouser socks all the time in cold weather with pants, and I usually buy a couple new pairs every year. Not the sexiest thing in my wardrobe, but they are easy and comfortable to wear. Today I go to Target during lunch and have trouser socks on the list. I look in the sock/hosiery section for 10 minutes. It was all Socks! Tights! Leggings! galore. Finally I noticed the only package they have on the bottom rack, and it was a 6 pack for $12. I did not need that many pairs but could not find another substitute. All the other socks were too thick for dress shoes and I prefer to wear tights only with dresses & skirts. So I have trouser socks through the year 2020. LOL. Are they not a thing anymore, or is just the time of year where they sell by the truckload?
I never buy them myself, because my MIL's "thing" to put in stockings is socks, so I told her I prefer/most need trouser socks (skirting the fact that I'm very selective about my running socks). So I get a stocking full every year that keep me in business. I'm pretty sure the ones I usually wear are Hue.
I was at Target last night for the same thing. I found a few but not a ton. Also, who wears dressy/ dark ankle socks? I was having a hard time visualizing that application.
Well, they must still be a thing then and that's good because I would be miserable in winter otherwise! I'll bet they get snatched up this time of year as stocking stuffers and such, so that may explain why Target was nearly out.
