Looks like that's where I'm headed. My office assured me they were very vbac friendly. Turns out the hospital is not at all baby friendly, and the doctors are worse. Mine practically insisted on an epi and constant monitoring for a vbac. She kept referring to me as high risk, which I'm not. Stats are outdated and don't even apply to me. It's unsettling and upsetting but my doula is encouraging me and telling me it's probably for the best. I'm also sort of really excited with the idea of having a midwife instead.
I've known lots of other VBAC mommas that have switched close to the end of their pregnancy. I'm lucky that my OB is very VBAC friendly, but I think midwives tend to be more so. Lots of luck to you!

Good luck!
My ob and midwife and new hospital are very VBAC friendly. Their old hospital was not and if they didn't switch themselves last year, I would have left their practice once I became pregnant.
My new hospital does require frequent monitoring but they also have tubs and showers that are available to a VBAC delivery.
Update! I have an appt on monday with the group of midwives I want, who practice at what is considered the most baby friendly hospital in Chicagoland. I'm excited!
